Hello from Oz

Hi there everyone, it's been so long now that I don't even remember how I came upon this place! So you can guess that I'm about to say that I've been a long time reader that finally decided to join up. (I would have sooner had I realized the ban on hotmail-esque addresses had been lifted).

I've got some very wide-ranging interests, in fact, practically everything covered here could fit in somewhere! I've been becoming more political (liberal) and philosophical (solipsist) over the last year or so, but I'm still having a hard time trying to turn all those philosophies a coherent whole.

I won't pretend that I am not a skeptic, which I have generally been since I was quite young. I do believe the world is riddled with at least a few conspiracies though, and I do still find the paranormal fascinating, (especially anything about UFOs or aliens, which I remember being terrifed of as a kid ) - I won't dismiss anything without due consideration first though. For the record, I am also an atheist. (And that was after quite a bit of due consideration).

I live in Melbourne, Australia, which is apparently one of the most haunted places in the country! (Not that I've seen any ghosts around!), and home to at least a handful of odd places.

So I hope to start getting into things here and start having some fun!
