"Reality an illusion, albeit a persistent illusion."- Einstein
Reality is what the human mind, or any mind perceives of its placement in space and time. The brain is constantly computing information from the
reality, and sure the variance can be very different for any individual. And this is where philosophy and metaphysics come in, to make the best
attempt possible to understand such things.
However, due to our lack of scientific knowledge of the unknown and quantum mechanics, the best explained explanation of such thing(or similarity) is
that reality would work much more similar to a hologram, like the one in Star Trek. But their are big differences to such things. One being, the amount
Giga-bytes in one system, and the other...Well you got extra space for 1000 terra bytes to actually accomplish such a feat.
It would be no different if an alien civilization was in our shoes at some point and time, and would make such similar a hypothesis. After all great
minds do think a like.
