Are you thinking of S4? S4 is a small area a few miles away from Groom Lake which is believed to be the facilitiy for more "obscure" tests etc. It's located by Papoose Lake and there are some overview photos of the facilities and the area @ Anomalies.net. Check out that page anyway and have a nice trip if you decide to go!

If you go have a good trip. Chances are that you cannot get anywhere to catch any sight of it considering the gov. has claimed all land with any sites you could catch any glimpse from.

There is still activity there but you may be thinking of the Dugway Proving Grounds outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. You can read up on Area 51, S4, and Dugway here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

My only advice is good luck and don't do anything stupid. Also...bring a good pair of binoculars, as there is supposed to be a ridge after a hike where you can get a look...i'm not sure if the Government has leased that land though. The name of the ridge escapes me...but there are pictures of Area 51 from that ridge I think. But good luck anyway.

It's called "Freedom Ridge" and I believe the government took that land recently to prevent people from viewing the base.

I've been saying this for a while, but i think alot has been moved to Australia. The USA and AUS relationship is getting stronger all the time and now the US is testing its new high tech missles here. I have no proof of this yet but this picture shows how much of Aus is unpopulated by people, plus the huge amounts of water to the left. If i wanted to test new airborne technology this is where I'd go.
