I see what you mean, but I don't think it is as bad spiritually and morally as you believe. Many of these kids are only taught English off the bat because that's required here. Many hispanic peoples HAVE and DO face torment and racial remarks on a regular basis. Some even feel inferior because thier english is poor. You know what I mean? In turn they wish not to subject thier children to the same torment.

But of course, patriotism to America. I am American, born and raised here. Just have family in Spain and Mexico. But, I am AMERICAN first. Id like to see some hispanic family ideals adopted by more families in this country though. I think it would fix many problems.

again I agree. I see the will and love of immigrants when they come here and its beautiful. I wish everyone spewing of the evils of the US could see the love people feel for the US when they finally get here.

I am an American first and foremost. My culture enriches me but my nation sustains me and shelters me.
I wish people would cherish their culture without seeing it as being at odds with their home...

The newscaster goes on to ask about if the bus driver could have done anything more to stop this hate crime. Well from personal experience driving a bus part time, the answer is no, not unless you want to get sued and jail time for putting your hands on a minor. There is nothing a bus driver can legally do, except call the police, or sheriff which I have had to do. They could be stabbing a boy to death and all you can do is sit there because the law ties our hands behind our backs. This world is so immoral that it's safer to watch a murder happen, then try to stop it for fear the good Samaritans will be the ones who get punished for a crime.

If minors were treated like adults, from oh say 12+, this situation would not have happened on my bus, I would have kicked the living sh*t out of those teenagers.

All this Liberalism is a serious problem and the politically correctness that goes with it. In these days you cannot stand up for what is right and good or you make yourself a prey, something that was spoken of in the good 'ol Holy Bible.

Chances are, as an African American he would have been taught not to cooperate with "authorities", and he wouldn't have reported the crime at all.

You may be right. And for the record, that attitude stems from the fact that minorities are often suspected or abused by police. So in a way, they're not wrong to do that. A lot of (middle class and up) white people seem to have this insane attitude that police and authorities are their friends, and are there to help you. Many minorities know better.

Anyway, I guess perhaps the moral to this story is really: People should mind their own business.

With the addendum: Maybe we should re-think what we're teaching our kids.


I also have to say, the level of racism I've been seeing on this site lately is complete disgusting. Doubly so for the fact that some people on here have been taking every opportunity to talk about how "those other guys" are completely racist, but me and my group / people aren't racist-- it's that other racial group who are really the racist ones.


An attitude which is really veiled racism in denial.
