Below is a video depicting a Russian concept for a multi-purpose street fighting drone unit. It is depicted a highly fast and maneuverable with anti-air, armor and personnel capabilities.

What I find interesting is that toward the end of the video, the opposing forces are depicted as Americans (8:00, see the helmet patch). Also it is depicted on western soil as the shop signs are in English not Cyrillic.

The cold war mentality is alive again within Russian defense industries.. wow.

well it looks like the people of the USA should get the rebellion started soon, or they are gonna have to deal with these things, I just hope that hackers are actively studying this stuff so when it comes time, they have no problem hacking these drones, its imperative if the drones are to be defeated. But engineers, machinists , mechanics, and the basic civilian no matter what there job should be studying these drones to find the chinks in the armor, you know just in case these things are used for evil.

Other neat features;
it requires two pilots, one for navigation and one for fire control
it has a 360 degree ring of microphones that detect the loudest sounds in range of the vehicle and software automatically turns the turret in that direction
camera filters reduce the image to a line outline of the scenery for fast target aquisition
not bad...

One sure fire way of stopping of people from making 3d videos is to.. dun DUN dun, take away their their 3d programs!

No seriously, lets suppose someone knew of a way to stop foreign "drones", why in the hell would they post that info on the internet?

You know, it's only a matter of time before we have to start dealing with " Super Villains ", Yes I said it, and I have said it before an I will say it again most likely. But that is what technology and time will bring us, people hell bent on disturbing natural flow of things to get their message across or just their time in the fame.

If you think this is bad, just imagine what you haven't heard about that some guy or kid who's been bullied or rejected or denied one too many times to the point they feel they need to react outwards. It's the reason people do stupid senseless things, information overload so to speak, they feel they have been victimized or wronged and everyone else is the bad guy then.

That is what I am worried about, not the mentally ill with a gun, the mentally ill with intelligence still an the resources to carry out something truly evil.

Basically, I'm worried about the future nutbag who resembles hitler with access to these or worse robots hive swarms, that's scary right there.

Using robots to fight is about as evil as it gets, since you are using a creation of man to do the wrongdoings of man, that's like lazy, mean, emotionless, and just cruel all in one to the max.

Its not up for them to post it on the net, its up to them to figure out the information for themselfs or with a close group of people , and use that knowledge when the time comes. What ever else they do with the info should be at there own risk for sure.

Wow, the terminator series movies are becoming reality. Many people were replaced by robotics and other job eliminating technology in manufacturing, and people may well be replaced in war fighting as well.

Something has to change or we are all seriously screwed. As far as that cold war stuff, the cold war never really ended completely, it just went dormant.

Interesting how most of that opfor gear in the video was strangely american looking.

It was specifically american looking (in one frame mentioned in the OP, the flag on the soldier's helmet is that of an American flag, partially obscured my a helmet band..
The billboards on the buildings are all in English, so you can pretty much assume that the tactical scenario is that of a Western, English speaking country US, Canada, Australia or UK. Most likely the former..

Red Dawn, anyone?!..

I dont think it was even a "war" to begin with, it was an agreement that allowed two major world powers to build up a ridiculous amount of arms, without looking like war mongers. They were building up so many weapons to "protect there citizens", HA yeah right

Interesting video, and pretty well made too.
I didn't see the American flag anywhere though, so I don't know where it was supposed to be.
However, it's clearly supposed to represent a US city, probably New York. There are yellow cabs dotted around, an ambulance with a blue insignia on it (as far as I know unique to the US?) and the buildings have a NY look about them with the fire escapes and so on. The soldiers being shot at even use American English at one point.

It's pretty funny to think about though, as if these little things are heroes against an enemy, and Russia always beats US tech! lol

The truth of it is, they wouldn't find it so easy. It's mostly propaganda, intended to give the viewer (presumably a government department) some nationalistic sense of power with their mighty little drones able to take out military choppers, and US armored vehicles in one shot

I admire their pluck.

Wonder if EMP tech can knock these things out....

Or stone age traps that can flip them over using hydraulics not unlike low-rider cars.

Or Burma Tiger traps...

Or that guy I seen on (non real) TV that made a rifle to take out drones...

I can see it now... squads of Big Dog and those things battling in the future battlefield.

Interesting times ahead

Thank you for this information. I found the acoustic recognition technology to be fascinating. I am still not sure about the ejectable glass lenses on the sensors, that was a bit odd..

The battle depicted in that video must be the most one sided battle in US military history, since Kasserine Pass. US soldiers missing every shot, Apache gunships and Abrams tanks lighting up like Shermans and Zeroes. Anyway...

Yeah, the video is interesting, but it is just a video. It's a concept. Who knows how advanced the project is, or if it's even started. Whatever they have, we surely have something similar, if not more advanced.

But, the idea that these robot machines will become commonplace in war is still mind boggling.
