I'm not exactly sure if a Christian music thread exists or not, or if it's okay to make one. No worries if not. and maybe some of you will wonder
why I listen to Christian music but I do.
I mostly listen to old stuff since I'm old kind of now. Haven't kept up with the new stuff for a while, so if you have your favorites, love to
listen to them.
Maybe put a blurb or too why you like it or what it means to you.
My first ones I'll just say are what I listened to a lot when I was going to college out in CA.
I love heavy all the way to praise. As long as it's not too much about Jesus I'm okay.
But I think Christian music is great to worship the real God.
This is just my opinion, nothing more, but I think most Christian "rock" is hideously lame. It's unlistenable.
I love old-timey gospel, hymns, and spiritual blues stuff. That stuff is real. Pure.
"On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise, and the glory of His resurrection share,
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there." The Chuck Wagon Gang...When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder
They're sisters and they are very beautiful and talented. Makes me wonder if I was a Christian and settling down with a good Christian girl like my
mama has always wanted haha.
Larry Norman recorded a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Knockin On Heaven's Door', but wrote new lyrics.
I think he did a good job.
"Mama tow my barge down to the sea. Give my belongings to the poor.
Two shining eyes looking down at me...I feel I'm knockin on heaven's door" Larry Norman
