You are going out to lunch to a restaurant that seats 8 at the table.
Which 7 FICTIONAL people would you invite to have lunch with you?

Xena warrior princess
Black Widow (avengers)
Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill)
Sarah Conner (Terminator)
Samantha of Bewitched
Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Vastra the Silurian on Dr. Who

I guess you all can see the theme of the lunch I'd be having.

I wouldn't invite any fictional people to dinner. They wouldn't show up anyway.
Sorry, had to do it.

For my fantasy dinner guests I would choose...

1)The Doctor (of Dr Who fame, doesnt matter which regeneration)
2)Harry Dresden (Dresden Files, the books not the terrible TV series)
3)Ragnar Blackmane (Space Wolf Omnibus)
4)Susan Sto Helit (From Terry Pratchet's Discworld, grand daughter of Death)
5)GLaDOS (Portal/Portal 2)
6)Mary Choy (from Greg Bear's Queen of Angels)
7)Gideon Ravenor (From Dan Abnett's Ravenor, Ravenor Returned and so on)

That would be interesting. A Timelord, a wizard, a Viking from space, the grand daughter of the personification of Death, a homicidal artificial intelligence, a genetically modified police woman from a dystopian future, and an agent of the Emperors Inquisition.

The question is .. would anyone want to invite Satan to dinner? And I'm asking that in this ... the FICTIONAL people thread ... because there is discussion as to if he is real. Would you ask Satan to dinner and have a conversation, ask questions, etc .. or steer clear and try to keep a low profile so he doesn't notice you??

I would invite him, then cut him into small bits, and torture them. What can I say, I believe justice is always too slow.

I don't invite people who can't make me laugh to dinner.

And yes, I would be laughing AT them, not WITH them.

THE SOUTH PARK KIDS!! That would be FUN! Gotta' make sure the GOTH kids are invited. I don't know if they'd show up or if it would be too 'conformist' for them. But South Park ... .I didn't even think of that. Excellent.

Other cartoon characters for other lunches ...

Bart and Lisa Simpson
Peter Pan and Tinker Bell
Power Puff Girls
Mighty Mouse
Cat in the Hat
Underdog
Gumby
Eeyore from Winnie The Pooh

Mighty Mouse
Cat in the Hat
Underdog

Ahhhh....three of my early childhood HEROES indeed!!

Bring Minnie, too - when I was three, I awoke from a dream that I was Minnie and I was going to marry Mighty Mouse - to find I had the bedsheet pulled over my head like a veil. One of my earliest memories.

I had a terrific crush on Mighty Mouse, AND Underdog. And The Cat in the Hat would have been THE perfect babysitter!!!

Can't you just imagine Cartman and Gene at the same table? They'd be side by side for sure...and Tina would sit next to Stan -- and Louise next to ...oh, the Cat in the Hat -- we'll have to set up a "kids table", I guess.

This is a hard question. I'm not a huge fan of fiction.

1: Skynet from Terminator
2: Darth Sidious
3: Voldemort
4: The creator of the puppets from Puppet Master
5: Tony Stark
6: Peter Weyland from Prometheus.

There are a few more that are awesome in my opinion.

Caspar and Wendy (the Friendly Ghost, and Witch) - were also my earliest favorites - I used to "play Caspar and Wendy" under the weeping willow tree in our backyard - again, age 3 or 4 - and by myself. I played both parts.
