The "New Normal".

The new "Normal" is high unemployment.

The new "Normal" is millions on food stamps.

The new "Normal" is millions on government aid.

The new "Normal" is redistributed wealth.

The new "Normal" is no more White House tours.

The new "Normal" is one set of rules for you and I, another set for "them".

The new "Normal" is NSA spying on you.

The new "Normal" is drones flying in American skies.

The new "Normal" is indiscriminate attacks on American citizens without due process.

The new "Normal" is gun control.

The new "Normal" is "Free Speech Zones".

The new "Normal" is treaties with our enemies and attacks against our allies.

The new Normal" is nanny care government.

The new "Normal" is victimhood.

The new "Normal" is being afraid all the time.

The new "Normal" is the government feeding that fear.

The new "Normal" is a divided country.

The new "Normal" is us fighting amongst ourselves.

The new "Normal" is blaming others for your own faults, and getting away with it.

The new "Normal" is reality shows on tv and no reality in the news.

The new "Normal" is ignoring the constituents and listening to the lobbyists.

The new "Normal" is crying over one death and ignoring the deaths of thousands.

The new "Normal" is the decay of the Constitution and the birth of See Something, Say Something.

The new "Normal" is the justification of hate, and the embrace of discord, and calling it "Justice".

The new "Normal" is calling whistleblowers traitors, and traitors, patriots.

The new "Normal".

Embrace the madness.

Every single one of these new norms reeks of fear. The sheer terror at living with them and the sheer terror of dying for rejecting them. Fear is immobilizing. We're especially terrorized by each other because if somebody sees something that scares them they'll say something. So we do nothing.

Like any of us are going to get out of here alive anyway.

Honestly Beezer, I think we're already in a civil war. While on the one hand as you and your fellows like to point out we have people holding out their hand when they could be more self reliant, but we also have the fat cats and there are a lot of them, who say nope can't charge $.64 more for a value meal so we can pay $15/hr. Those who insist that people don't need to be paid fair wages, have good schools, unions and access to health care and those of you who agree. Then there's the social issues.

Its only normal if we or you accept this liberal agenda as normal.

If one or any of these situations you have mentioned come your way, fight it , if not then I guess you can put your head down and pretend its not there, that seems to be the norm of the time we are in now.

you can only poke the 800 lb. gorilla in the room so long and this will stop................badly, but it will stop.

I have always believed that one person can make a difference.

edit on 2-8-2013 by Battleline because: (no reason given)

Hopefully many such "one persons" will, but I have my doubts.

America and Canada are 'Christian' nations..

You really need to be careful with that can of worms.
Just think if some atheist comes in here and reads that.
Sheesh wooohohoh ! Gives me the willies.

Ms. Kali, with all due respect, the petty bickering that our respective "sides" enjoy against one another has got to come to an end.

We have a common enemy, you and I.

Time to join forces and present a united front.

We need to shine the light on the boogie man. Expose him as a common enemy to everyone.

Time to stop being afraid.

Gonna say what I said in another thread:

Straight up people are created equal that is where it begins and ends all jobs are not created equal a person doesn't deserve to be paid 50 bucks and hour for flipping burgers, pushing a broom, and sitting on their duffs pressing the enter key they don't deserve the same pay and benefits, as some 'fat cat' CEO.

They don't.

Fiat currency and corporate products are on the person not the state to supply and pass out like 'privilieges'.

Then END.

Beezer I totally agree that we all have a common enemy and that becoming a single voice is the only answer that can save us. Not just Americans, but free people the world over - as what happens in the US eventually bleeds out into all western and many eastern nations.

The hang-up is that we are all, each of us, so woefully passionate about what separates us that it makes finding common ground seem so damned unlikely.

IMO putting aside personal bias for the common good is sound logic. Others see putting the common good ahead of their individuality as reprehensible and socialistic.

Finding a bridge past these difference is the challenge. How do we find a way past it?

I agree. Now if we could just get everyone to agree on who the boogie man is. But as this thread so clearly demonstrates, some say its religion, some say its government, some say its corporations and between all the other pros and cons they feed us on a daily basis its a lot more complicated than that. Nobody agrees on anything.

Look at Ron Paul. He hammered on liberty for all and it scared the **** out of half the population.

It's not going to be easy. But we have to first recognize that we share a common enemy.

We don't have to give up our individuality so much as we should just recognize that we are different.

We see the same problems, it's only our solutions that differ.

The hard part is agreeing on a common enemy.

Sad to say that there are those even on this site that would chose to side against most of us than with us.

To tell the truth, I'm not even sure which side I'd be on anymore because all the "sides" are fractured and splintered into factions with special interests.

But I'd sure like to see an honest poll of all Americans on that single question ~ who IS our common enemy.

Choose one or all of the things you mentioned and stand your ground. Your doubts will turn into confidence in your self and before you know it you will see it in others.

Just a thought.

Imagine WWII if we were all like;

I'm only fighting the German politicians
I'm only fighting the German bankers
I'm only fighting the German religious leaders

ANY entity that endorses the loss of freedoms and liberties should be looked upon as NOT saviours, but individual(s) that represent the antithesis of what the US Constitution represents.

If we are going on who is against everything that constitution represents that means we are against more than 3/4 of the nation...

No one thinks the constitution was fought and bled for any reason that would in any way help them.

People are greedy, they want something for nothing, they dont care to find the truth only to find todays new law that will do something toward what matters to them. Instead of saying we do not need the government to tell us what to do, and that stuff happens and people die and some people will always be poor and will have to work manual labor... heck this list could go on...

3/4 of the nation appears to hate the constitution.....

Who do you think the common enemy is?

It's not just politicians or all politicians or even ones with an R or a D after their name.

It's not just religions or all religions or any specific denomination.

It's not just corporations or all corporations or ones with a specific logo.

It's a combination of self-interests that'd easily sacrifice OUR freedoms to satisfy THEIR bottom line.

In my humble opinion.
