Back last year, I posted a thread about my biggest fear: roller coasters. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT get on a roller coaster for fear of the cars jumping the tracks and falling to my death:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Well, this week, my family and I went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg again, and this time, I rode EVERY roller coaster in the park!! Not only did I ride all of them, I rode them more then once!

Of course I was freaking out when online, my heart pounding, nervous as hell, but I got on, over tightened the harnesses and took the plunge, and LOVED IT!!!

If you've been to BG, you're probably familiar with the rides, my favorite is Alpinegiest.
en.wikipedia.org...
Maaaaan, did I ever scream my head off the first time with the first inversion loop, but I LOVED IT
Here's a pov video of the coaster

Here are the rest of the BG coasters:

Griffon

Verbolten

Loch Ness Monster

Apollos Chariot

I sooo can't wait to go next year, but the family is talking about going to Kings Dominion in VA next year, their coasters have a 300' drop on em...

Ohh congrats
im still scared of rollercoasters >.<

My biggest fear is the unknown to me. When ever i hear a noise I always come up with a reason. I'm not gonna say im not scared of anything but it takes alot to scare me. So when there is something strange that i can't explain xc i get scared!!!

When i was younger i did all the coasters. Once we went to Astroworld (Six Flags in Houston), and it was so empty that day that we could just sit in the seats when the ride finished, and go through again. I think I did the Greased Lightning 35 times in a row.

Now I get so motion sick, i just can't do it. I do Schlitterbahn water park, sticking mostly in the Wave River. I still get the motion sickness, but not near as bad. Mostly just feeling like I am bobbing up and down when I lay down and try to sleep that night.

Glad you had fun. Coasters are a blast.

Congrats mate! When you say you overcame your fear, well you really overcame it. Riding every coaster is quite a bit more than riding just one, once.

Much more power to you. I've ridden them before and if anything that makes me hate them even more. They will always be a source of fear for me no matter how many tries I commit. I especially hate the old cart style ones with the chain that just goes ahead and slowly click click click click clicks you up. I swear, that sound will continue to haunt all of my nightmares for the rest of my life. I'm not a big fan of heights to begin with though. There's this roller coaster at an amusement park not far from here that I swear, the wood that it's constructed from shakes and weaves as the cart dashes over segments of the track. If I have to ride it, each year I say a silent prayer that this will not be the year that the thing falls apart. >.<

Awesome, congrats!

If you wanna try some more good ones in/near North Carolina, check out Carowinds in Charlotte NC, Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell GA, and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN. They've got some wicked awesome roller coasters!

Gratz on your achievement and victory!

There is no way you'd get me on those things as you wouldn't get me into the parks in the first place. Too crowded for me. Same with fairs, malls, concerts, bars etc. Too many random variables as far as the crowds' mood swings are concerned. (esp. if alcohol is in the equation)

Once again, congratulations.
