We are hearing that alot lately."You assured us" it's not just corny 1980s movie dialogue now is it? I suppose I could put up the videos of politicians who are saying this alot and the films but,really I would rather just make a point. Earlier there was a thread about how conspiracy theorists are "seemingly" more sane than those who believe what they are are informed by the media and the govt. Once you get passed the 'I was right first" competition ,the rest is in books and years of reading...unless you meet people who are part of that world and then of course,you are either a pessimist or a Republican at least in others eyes.
But NO SANE HUMAN BEING can tell me that we haven't been lied to and it's existential to the system.But why did the curtain tear? Should we go with the "Awakening"? Or has the system broken down so bad the locks have been broken by the internet? This very board is an example of that.
I have never seen the chatter where there might just be a fight.Am I paranoid because of good ol COINTELPRO or insightful?
What ever it is it sure is obvious to the citizenry but obtuse to the govt as depicted in media.
I assure you however there will be no second civil war. As ex army scout I think I can assure you.

Here you say they lied to us. Are you for real? On that other thread we bickered about what the hippies "did to the country" and you refused to believe you were lied to about that. Or is this just posturing on your part?

When you work all week and find that 25% of your earnings are retained by the state, you realise that their milkshakes bring the boys to the bar, and their life is better than yours.

Now, this is just my opinion, but I think there are power struggles at the very top.

The PTB aren't just one entity, all striving for the same goals. There are several of them all wanting power, riches and comfort.

There's a New Guard versus the Old Guard sort of thing. There are New Powers in the World and the Old Powers are struggling for their very survival.

So what we see in the media are smear campaigns. Probably campaigns with more than a grain of truth, but designed to make us choose one side or the other.

For instance, the scandals involving the Church one of the (maybe THE) most powerful institutions in the World.

Corrupt politicians and police forces are being exposed.

The other side are held up to accusations of Satanism. I don't believe in Satan, but I understand that the Church might do. Or pretend to. So, from their point of view, tarring something as Satanism might seem like a good idea, it would certainly get their flocks agitated.

So long as 'They' are mud-slinging there are going to be people taking sides. That would be the likes of us - cannon fodder.

It makes the World a difficult and dangerous place to live in. If you don't buy into it and just let them get on with it you are complacent. If you do get involved, well you're just another expendable little guy.

I honestly think that 'They' feel so secure in that they're untouchable by the 'Rest of Us' that they don't care if we see what they're doing or not. They only have each other to worry about, so it all comes down to who has the best propaganda and can field the most pawns on the board. The few heads we see rolling hardly make a dent and belong to those who are no longer useful.

I think the old PTB kept everyone down with guilt and sin and the new PTB want to keep us distracted with more baubles - either way all we really get is the crumbs from their tables.

Not sure how infiltrating makes "activists" as you call them (people of conscience I call them) "tools" of the system.

Tools are those manufacturing, deploying and employing the weapons of war (for instance).

The tax man, the bureaucrat, the solider, the politician, the lawyer, the banker, are the real "tools". Infiltrators are "tools" the system uses to discredit, disrupt healthy protest.

Of course I AM not in anyway excluded.My programming took care of THAT.
I would not compare looting to any logical function nor have I EVER thought harming others was a way of PROTEST.
If we DID we would slaughter everyone.
DON'T work too well.

I am a staunch 2nd ammendment supporter. The teeth behind the republic.

MY ONLY intent and morality in the Army was to fight.
I didn't do so for some suit to use our blood to lube this wheels.
It is to serve a function WE HAVE to keep.
Just happened to be of the right spirit for the task.
NOW with all anti American POPULARITY of the P.C. crowd , we are BACK to troop abuse.
