Do you actually think you accomplish anything by posting such blatantly false 'news' articles? I mean, do you actually beleive this?

I thought it prudent to weigh in on this thread.

It appears there is the summary acceptance by some on this board that the "resistance" is in fact made up of Iraqi's. This would be a conclusion in err. Many of the so called "resistance" currently fighting on Iraqi soil, if not the majority, are not even Iraqi.

Now the United States and other foriegn forces are not Iraqi either.

So, what we have, is a war on Iraq soil, which I said quite a long time ago, has been chosen as the theater for the current front in the war between the free and democratic world, and the Islamofacist Mulluhocracies, to include primarily the Iranians.

The war being fought in Iraq is fundamentally between the U.S. and the Iranians.

That's rather peculiar, when every single picture you see of soldiers leading prisoners away says something like, "US Marine leads a way a captured Iraqi man in the center of Fallujah, Iraq." So, basically you're saying that we're at war with Iran too? And what sources are you basing this on?

Much of the resistance is made up of foreign terrorists (Al Queda, and other sects), and mercs from other nations (Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, etc.) as well as Iraqis. There are several news stories about this, including stories of intercepting such groups as they crossed the borders looking to join the insurgents. I also know this from fairly regular correspondence with some of the troops we have over there. The troops have even said that many times, during battles, the insurgents have little C&C due to the various dialects of Arabic spoken amongst them, so the insurgents can't understand one another due to this.

www.nytimes.com...

www.intellectualconservative.com...

www.journalnow.com...

www.iraqinews.com...

A list of sources a kilometer long could be provided, but in all reality, one might only use some common sense to conclude that the war being fought on Iraqi soil is not simply between disgruntled fedayeen and the U.S. military, it is much larger than that, much, much, larger.

It is a pity so many think the "insurgents" are freedom fighters, fighting for the liberation of Iraq. This is simply not the case.

Iraq is the front in a much larger war.

That doesn't mean the majority aren't still Iraqis. I'm sure there are indeed many that aren't, but why in the hell would Iran fight for Iraq? Or are you saying we have many more enemies than it appears? I can actually believe people are flocking from everywhere to fight the US. They hate us because we've screwed them all over at one time or another....all except Israel, I guess. If that's indeed the case, we'll surely never win this war. We might as well just pull out. No matter how many people we kill in Iraq, we're not going to kill them all without invading every country in the mideast, eh? Actually, searching google, I don't find a list a kilometer long. In fact, there are very few credible references listed.

Well, we have succeeded in hijacking this thread yes?

No, the enemy of the U.S. in Iraq is fighting with way too much of a sense of urgency to be Iraqi's. There is something much larger at stake here.

Hijacked? The original post is basically just a report. There really was no topic. It's an informational post, isn't it? There wasn't even anything to comment on, until it was hijacked. No question was even asked.

Oh, I was in no way accusing you of hijacking this thread, I simply meant we had gotten away from the "supposed" topic a bit, which, I think all agree, was bogus.

Sorry for the misunderstanding there
