I was curious if anyone has any thoughts on how one could access ats chat on linux? I thought of using a vm with virtual box, or trying wine, but figured to save myself the time and trouble to ask if anyone here has done so already?

I've not tried to access chat while in Linux lately... but it should work as long as you install Java in the browser.

I just booted my laptop ( Ubuntu 12.04 - Firefox 22 ) and chat loaded fine.

ATS chat uses Javascript, so make sure your Java is updated. Also make sure you don't have any old versions of Java installed after you update.

Java and Javascript are two entirely different languages. The chat uses a Java applet. Should just be a matter of updating Java runtime methinks.

Meh, I should've just said Java. Either way, he needs to update Java and make sure old versions are uninstalled.
