I was curious to know where the maniac Anders Breivik is located, I thought of some dark dungeon sitting in the corner naked and beaten up.. boy I was wrong...

On 13 February 1979) is the perpetrator of the 2011 Norway attacks. In a sequential bombing and mass shooting on 22 July 2011, he bombed government buildings in Oslo, resulting in eight deaths, then carried out a mass shooting at a camp of the Workers' Youth League (AUF) of the Labour Party on the island of Utøya, where he killed 69 people, mostly kids

What dark dungeon would you think the monster that killed 69 children are in ?

Well, he is in the most humane luxurious prison hotel in the world Halden in Norway, pictures below.

www.liveleak.com...

Home Away from Home
Every 10 to 12 cells share a kitchen and living room, where prisoners prepare their evening meals and relax after a day of work. None of the windows at Halden have bars. Photo taken 2010.

The Outside In
The maximum sentence in Norway, even for murder, is 21 years. Since most inmates will eventually return to society, prisons mimic the outside world as much as possible to prepare them for freedom. At Halden, rooms include en-suite bathrooms with ceramic tiles, mini-fridges and flat-screen TVs. Officials say sleeker televisions afford inmates less space to hide drugs and other contraband. Photo taken 2010.

Free Time
Security guards organize activities from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening. It's a chance for inmates to pick up a new hobby, but it's also a part of the prison's dynamic security strategy: occupied prisoners are less likely to lash out at guards and one another. Inmates can shoot hoops on this basketball court, which absorbs falls on impact, and make use of a rock-climbing wall, jogging trails and a soccer field. Photo taken 2010.

Recording Artists
There's also a recording studio with a professional mixing board. In-house music teachers — who refer to the inmates as "pupils," never "prisoners" — work with their charges on piano, guitar, bongos and more. Three members of Halden's security-guard chorus recently competed on Norway's version of American Idol. They hope to produce the prison's first musical — starring inmates — later this year. Photo taken 2010.

Prison Yard
Halden's architects preserved trees across the 75-acre site to obscure the 20-ft.-high security wall that surrounds the perimeter, in order to minimize the institutional feel and, in the words of one architect, to "let the inmates see all of the seasons." Benches and stone chessboards dot this jogging trail. Photo taken 2010.

________________________________________

It´s a great place for helping inmates to become part of the society again..
BUT there is no place for a monster like Anders Breivik in society, he murdered all those children, and the only think he regret is he did not have the time to murder more.

He only got 21 years? How can that be possible.

He doesn't live in those places, they are shots of minimum security prisons, and it was clearly stated in past articles that there is a good chance he will never end up in one.

This is just like Canada, because they had (Now gone from Harper) realistic, humane treatment for prisoners, money backing the prison industrial complex will back yellow journalistic hit pieces, showing minimum security prisons and implying that all the darkest, most deranged psychopaths all hang out there sipping brandy.

The truth is even though some countries are lenient, they have checks and balances in place to make sure people like that never get out.

Canada for instance, has the DO designation, which is a 7 year sentence (technically) well actually, it's an indefinite sentence that forces the inmate to see a review board every 7 years so they can rubber stamp a denial, as opposed to giving them a 25-Life sentence, which is easier to get paroled from.

Another common misperception is that killers automatically get out on the 25 year mark, when in actuality its very hard for them to get out, but they do get a review.

So, any more lies today sponsored by the real criminals? One's who would throw anyone in jail to make a profit...

I would say the government of Norway some how find it justifiable what he did 21 years for killing 69 people that is less than 1 year a life, unless it was 21 years before he even gets the possibility of parole and that could be waiting up to another 40+ years for that to be decided.also breivik has a lot of support and protection surprisingly enough.

Now, if anyone is interested in the actual truth, and not what some corporate prison shill wants you to hear so you think to yourself, "OMG I'm glad I'm so safe in the USA when they throw that odd looking kid in jail cause I think he was a rapist, cause he looked funny, and you know those kids that look funny, all grow up to be rapists!"

Anders Behring Breivik complains of 'inhumane conditions' in prison
Norwegian mass murderer gripes to officials about censorship of his letters and being forced to use 'stab-resistant' pen

"He has written a long complaint that he is being held in a section with particularly high security," Tord Jordet said. "He is today the only one in this ward and the security regime is the strictest in Norway."

Don't be swayed by the "22 year prison sentence" either, as I said before, unless you are familiar with the system there in its entirety, you aren't qualified to make an opinion.

Just as I mentioned the Canada example.

Pictures of the "prison" have been posted before. I say prison but it looks more like a model home for Ikea.

Most people think that he should be rotting in a 3rd world dungeon.

But if we agree with or embrace the concept of rehabilitation and forgiveness, doesnt it make sense to create an atmosphere which would encourage and reinforce positive behavior?

Breivik's crime is extreme but in the US, examples of this are all too common. Someone gets sent to jail/prison for something relatively harmless, say tax "evasion".

After being beaten, raped, and generally abused, the relatively normal person has now become mentally deranged or a violent psychopath...

and cheap flat packed ikea furniture is hardly luxury if anything its a danger to his health if a chair leg brakes and he falls backwards and brakes his neck.

Wrong.. Halden is Norways maximum security prison

Anders Behring Breivik, who admitted to the Oslo, Norway bombing and killing 76 people on Friday, is currently under police custody while the case is investigated by police. Though it is unknown what his sentence will be when his trial commences in a year, Anders Behring Breivik will most likely end up in Halden Prison in Halden, Norway.

According to one source, what you said is true and false.

Its true that he will likely spend much more than 21 years.

....his demeanor, testimony and declaration that he would have liked to kill more people helped convince the judges that, however lenient the sentence seems, Mr. Breivik is unlikely ever to be released from prison. He could be kept there indefinitely by judges adding a succession of five-year extensions to his sentence.

However, a lot can/will change between now and then. If he changes his tune and acts remorseful there certainly is a chance some liberal judge would favor a release and second chance. That's a disgusting proposition. He would die here in Texas....rightfully so.

You may be wrong about the softness of his living conditions though.

Mr. Breivik, lawyers say, will live in a prison outside Oslo in a three-cell suite of rooms equipped with exercise equipment, a television and a laptop, albeit one without Internet access. If he is not considered a threat after serving his sentence, the maximum available under Norwegian law, he will be eligible for release in 2033, at the age of 53.

Golden cage is still a cage, I am sure he pays his punishment by being psychotherapists test subjects. 21 years is very long..

No normal human being would do what he did unless he/she is mentally ill.

Most people really aren't worth listening to, unless you want your head filled with crap. The reason Breivik isn't rotting in a 3rd world dungeon is he was arrested in a civilised society. A society that understands that brutalising the brutal just creates more brutal people to carry out the brutalising.

I agree, but in Breiviks case I don't think there are any need for positive reinforcement, he is not psychotic or mentally ill, he know what he did and will do it again, we cant have a man like that on the loose, put him in a hole and fill it with dirt..

No way did one man shoot about 135 separate victims, with an average of 2-3 gunshots each. Where do his confederates live now?
