This is fairly new and I didn't see a thread on this after searching a bit, so here it goes.

There isn't too much on the web as of yet with regards to Mr. Fahy's death.
I wanted to create this post so people would be aware of who he was and his passing. He seems to be a somewhat high-profile attorney and the circumstances seem a bit off.

"Fahy was a former assistant U.S. Attorney in Newark, where he headed up a political corruption unit."

"Fahy's car was found in the driveway of his house, and police believe he walked to the railroad trestle where he apparently took his own life. A handgun was recovered at the scene, and the prosecutor said police do not suspect foul play."

Jay Fahy - Company Bio

(Excerpts from biography link above)
"Mr. Fahy is the Firm's founding and senior partner. He focuses on complex litigation including white-collar criminal defense. His practice includes performing sensitive investigations and serving as special master in technical and financial matters.

"Mr. Fahy served as the Bergen County Prosecutor in Governor Florio's Administration. As such, he was responsible for all felony prosecutions in Bergen County, New Jersey and for establishing policy for 70 police departments. Prior to this, Mr. Fahy also worked in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark, New Jersey. He supervised seven federal prosecutors and was the chief of the political corruption unit in the office."

Jay Fahy was a guest on MSNBC (June 9, 2013) regarding the Zimmerman case. He appears around 3:30.

I provided the MSNBC link since it's such a recent television appearance etc.

Sometimes it is what it is and sometimes it isn't.

I also wanted to add this article. cliffviewpilot.com...
It definitely adds some more interesting information and talks a little about his general personality.

(Excerpts from above link)
“Something happened in the last two weeks. He wasn’t himself,” he added. “But none of us can figure out what it is.”

"Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli confirmed Fahy’s death, which he said was “the result of a single gunshot wound to the head, fired with a handgun.”

"Fahy apparently hadn’t been at his office, less than a three-mile walk from his house, the past week to 10 days. After hearing that there had been a suicide nearby, an employee at the firm began hurriedly calling friends and co-workers late this afternoon."

Again, maybe this is truly a case of a despondent person, or maybe it was something else.
I think it's important to consider foul play or a "conspiracy" given Mr. Fahy's status/career.

ABSOLUTELY INDEED.

imho, in such cases . . . I ASSUME MURDER right off the bat . . . with a high level of confidence.

It has become the 'disposition of choice' with those who annoy the PTB or tell too much truth about them . . . or maybe just KNOW too much truth about them.

It has become ROUTINE.

As Kissinger said:

He's a real sweety, that .... treasonous, traitorous, ruthless, black-hearted . . .

Just like his cohorts and bosses.

Sounds like the Atny got off'd at the 'pleasure' of the PTB.

And, imho, even if it was an authentic suicide--something I consider highly unlikely--I'd still consider it a suicide by putting the guy in a terminally depressed rock and hard place. Perhaps they even threatened his family and/or extended family.

This is an interesting and perhaps timely article.
www.nbcnews.com...

(Excerpt from above link)
"I don't think anyone is too big to indict, no one is too big to jail,"
-U.S attorney Preet Bharara

(Excerpt from above link)
'No company or individual is too big for prosecution and anyone who thinks they are would be making a grave mistake, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said.
In his capacity running the Southern District in New York, Bharara's jurisdiction extends over Wall Street and the malfeasance and corruption cases that develop there.'

I don't know if there's a tie-in etc., but it's quite the statement in light of Mr. Fahy's death.

We may never know if Jay Fahy committed suicide or if there was foul play. Again, when one looks into the cases he tried, he dealt with political and police corruption etc., so, I'd be wary of an investigation.

He got bumped off. It's always a) a suicide, b) a heart attack or c) an accident

I wanted to add a bit more to this seeing as how this story has gone virtually unnoticed online.

A rock star in the legal field, Fahy, a former Vice President of the Federal Bar Association, rose to prominence in the 1990s, and more so over the past 10 years, handling complex cases and appearing on Court TV, CNBC and MSNBC as a commentator on criminal court, discussing cases such as the George Zimmerman and Dharun Ravi trials. Fahy worked as Bergen County Prosecutor in 1990-1995 under Jim Florio's administration, and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark, where he supervised seven federal prosecutors and was the chief of the political corruption unit. - See more at: www.northjersey.com... dy.dpuf
