Was the Zimmerman case useful for PRISM?

Breaking my no thread rule to bring you this question. No stupid trolls please.

If you think about all the random riot comments and disillusioned banter in regards to the case pouring onto the internet by the minute, would this not be a perfect time for them to test their programs further and fine tune them?

Especially while everyone is distracted?

I can't shake this feeling like they are using it, the trial and post-verdict, to learn how to categorize and identify threats better. Not that they are even acting on the information they are collecting yet, but taking the time to learn the process better for the next big event that might not be under their control.

What say you?

Well PRISM did show up in the case. Zimmerman worked for Digital Risk LLC that spies on mortgages in Florida for the government. His boss went to the White House the day before Obama commented on the case. And you had a IT Tech claim the state was with holding evidence they grabbed from cell phones with PRISM and did not give to the defense. Were they supposed to have it them selves? So PRISM did show its face.

I believe those pictures came from raw cellphone data, as in they retrieved deleted photos he had taken (from the phones "hard drive", pretty easy to do on phones, sd cards, usb sticks, pc hard drives, etc)

Which brings up the concern that the prosecution wasn't concealing this evidence because of PRISM, but rather to help their case.

The state IT guy brought it up in pre-trial that the prosecution was withholding evidence, that IT guy has since been fired.

I think I mentioned on another thread that this could very well be a test run for prism or something else. With the uproar on social media, would have been a wasted opportunity otherwise.

I'd have to think they're far beyond the point of merely categorizing and identifying perceived threats'. 's matter of fact know they are. FAR Beyond.

IBM was tasked with designing/creating dime-size 2 gig hard drives for the NASA Space Shuttle Craft/Missions ....

no matter it be audio, video, email, txt, etc... the ability to monitor and filter each and every is not something 'in the works', it's been a rather increasingly-capable long-standing ability.... language translation, too [for video/audio]

think about the ever increasing, more affordable storage drives, prices and the like.

now... ponder what's available under contract with required specifications...

.Gov contract, as well.

needless to say. yeah. they're far beyond simply categorizing, storing, filtering, etc.

profiling... would seem the mOar applicable terminology.

we run a search via google for a given phrase, term, etc.
we get results to businesses or venues of purchase or interest to what we're looking for.

they run a search, scan for a given phrase, terminology...
they get results of people who match set parameters, within the constraints set forth beforehand.

the facility in nevada or wherever, must simply be a situational backup data center for the one they've been using for years, nearing it's total 'capacity'. ! 'gotta cath it al. gotta catch it all'

They are far beyond what people think. Reading about VAStech shows that. Wikileaks. org link is auto deleted. You can fill in the blank if you wish to read it. Or check under wikileaks spy files on the main page.
