Dr. Kevorkian�s attorneys Monday asked for a commuted sentence for the "Doctor of Death." The attorneys for Kevorkian - convicted in 1998 for his
part in the assisted death of Thomas Youk and receiving a murder 2nd degree charge - cite medical reasons for their appeal, saying Kevorkian suffers
from high blood pressure, arthritis, and a hernia, all of which are common and controllable health conditions. Kevorkian has only served about 5 1/2
years of his 25 year sentence and is at not immediate risk for death due to his conditions.

LANSING, Mich. Nov 8, 2004 � An attorney for Jack Kevorkian asked the state parole board Monday to recommend that the assisted suicide advocate be released from prison for health reasons.
Attorney Mayer Morganroth said Kevorkian has health problems including high blood pressure, a hernia and arthritis, and the board should urge Gov. Jennifer Granholm to either pardon him or commute his sentence.
Kevorkian's blood pressure "has been extremely volatile in nature and has risen to the danger level for a heart attack at times," Morganroth wrote in the request.
Kevorkian, 76, has served 5 1/2 years of a 10- to 25-year prison sentence for second-degree murder and his health has worsened, Morganroth said. He is not eligible for parole until 2007.

In having lived with arthritis for over 20 years, and having had hernias removed by surgery, as well as a mother who has had high blood pressure for over 21 years can find no reason why the court or Governor should consider a commutation of the sentence for unfounded death possibilities.
Yet Kevorkian who has murdered over 30 people and his attorney seem to disagree. They filed the appeal Monday for health reasons, well I have news for those medications can keep this man alive, not to mention why you should offer health related commutations to a man who killed people granted with their consent.
The murder 2 conviction was to force Kevorkian to stop killing people; if his commutation pleas are approved I believe he shall start again, having been in and out of court over the issue since the early 90s.
Kevorkian has already appealed this sentence, stating an ineffective attorney was the cause for his conviction, this appeal was made 01/11/04 and turned back. This just proves that the doctor is worried about dying himself; kind of hypocritical is a mild way to express the issue's true nature.

Thank's to Banshee for the help I hope this story gets interest. I don't know how people think of assisted suicide but I find it disturbing , not to
mention to try to get out of muder 2 charges for simple ailments is just sick.
