Documents Obtained by Judicial Watch Detail Role of Justice Department in Organizing Trayvon Martin

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents in response to local, state, and federal records requests revealing that a little-known unit of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Community Relations Service (CRS), was deployed to Sanford, FL, following the Trayvon Martin shooting to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.

To be honest until I read this article I had never heard of the CRS before. I will be doing more research.

George Zimmerman says that he did it in self-defense. He should be allowed to have his day in court and that should be the end of the matter. But instead, this thing has been hyped into a massive national spectacle and it is being used to divide us along racial lines. And it appears that we have clear evidence that the Obama administration was involved in doing the hyping.

Ever since this story made national headlines I kept asking myself WHY this incident when it should have been nothing more than local news. I now know the answer to that question. Because people in the Justice Department WANTED this story to be national news.

The DoJ was also instrumental in the removal of the Chief of Police.

Separately, in response to a Florida Sunshine Law request to the City of Sanford, Judicial Watch also obtained an audio recording of a “community meeting” held at Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford on April 19, 2012. The meeting, which led to the ouster of Sanford’s Police Chief Bill Lee, was scheduled after a group of college students calling themselves the “Dream Defenders” barricaded the entrance to the police department demanding Lee be fired. According to the Orlando Sentinel, DOJ employees with the CRS had arranged a 40-mile police escort for the students from Daytona Beach to Sanford.

The article has dollar amount spent and more exact details and it ends with this:

“These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially-charged demonstrations.”

Sums up our "Justice Department" quite nicely.

Obama was known as a community organizer before he went to Washington.

Now he has the Federal Government at his beck and call to do his bidding.

So he helped drum up the issue that let to the quote about his son, if he had one, looking like Trayvon. Seems different when you know the whole story.

Hopefully your thread will get more attention. As I said, this is so wrong on so many levels and if Zimmerman is accquited and something happens to him, the gov. is to blame.

My apologies I wasn't trying to steal your thunder, I looked and didn't find anything so I posted the thread. I hardly ever make threads because someone always posts the information before I do, so I should've known this was the case as well.

I posted my thread in Civil Unrest Forum because that is how this will end up, I was debating on that Forum and Political. S+F for being on the ball.

No, it wasn't my thread. I am just enraged about this and want it to be made public, hit a news station or something. I don't care how many threads there are. May many people post here. The information is important and you gave more in your OP than the original.

I did some research and it seems that, according to their mission statement, they did exactly what they were set up to do. I'm all for calling out the government but there really seems to be nothing to see here. Am I missing something?

But the media has fueled that fire, i have seen stories now calling Zimmerman a "white Hispanic" just to put that race issue there.

White Hispanic, strange I have never heard anyone in the msm refer to obama as a mulatto. They only refer to him as black or african-american and ignore his caucasian half. But when a mixed race person is charged with 2nd degree murder of a black teenager they make sure to get the "white" part in.
