The greatest truth is that we possess awareness. Without it, there would nothing.

IF there truly is some sort of a singular Ultimate Truth, then it is most likely one that is still not yet known.

(or more specifically: Still unknown to the collective majority)

It's all part of a mysterious "whole." What I see, do, hear, taste, feel in my dreams is just as REAL to me as what happens when I'm wakeful. So when Dad is in my dreams, I awaken and smile - I got to see my Dad again last night.

Do you realize that he has gone in the dream?
I see my mother in dreams sometimes and have realized whilst dreaming that she is no more - I have said to her -' Oh mum it is you, I will tell dad I saw you'.

You do not possess awareness - you are awareness.
Without you (awareness) nothing could appear to appear.

Awareness is the ultimate truth. Awareness will never be known because it is not a thing of knowledge - it is what knows things. It is what makes knowing possible. It is the knowing aspect.
Can the seer ever be seen?

Do you realize that he has gone in the dream?

Yes, he comes in various dreams - and I always feel I'm so glad he's visiting, and I know he's not "here" physically anymore, that when I awaken he will still not be here. But it IS him, not just "memories" of times we had together - but ongoing communication that is retained from dream-visit to dream-visit.

And I always tell my Mom or husband "I got to see Daddy last night!"

The appearance that appears to you appears in you. Whether it is called dreaming or wakefulness there is an appearance appearing.
No appearance can appear without (you) presence.

I wonder is we should be talking about lies and truth, afterall one can only have his or her truth if one has made up his mind.
This is a lie, and this is truth, but based on what? his or her knowledge, what one has been taught?
Philosophy means the love of truth, but is truth a fixed thing out there?, or is it living and flowing, which means it can only be seen, but never known.
If i look at the world today, i see people that are divided in multiple ways, fighting with eachother, killing eachother, and for what..
Where is the harmony which is love, is there any ground for harmony in this world?

It is not about lies and truth - it is about the ultimate reality.
Knowing what is ultimately real will set one free.

What are you expecting to find?

It's a platitude that scientific discovery forces a revision of our philosophical assumptions. However, those ultimate concepts - God, for instance - is beyond the reach of what science can or cannot tell us about the way the world is. We already have all the information we need with regards to the ultimate.

For instance, our current scientific paradigm is trying to convince everyone that what we call "consciousness", or the first person subjective perspective, is simply the working of millions of synaptic connections in our heads. This paradigm is probably wrong. Consciousness and neurons firing electrical impulses aren't the same thing. It's dubious how the former could be said to the explanation for the latter. There is no doubt a contingent relationship between the brain and consciousness - without a working brain consciousness goes bye bye - but consciousness appears to be an altogether different substance.

Let's say 100 years from now our science advances far enough to prove the existence of a "mental substance". Would that change anything? Lets reverse it. Let's say we never figure out this problem: materialism wins the day and people go on believing that consciousness is simply an illusion produced by physical processes. Would that change anything? In the case of the former, if the mental had been proven, it's because our scientific methods had been refined to demonstrate the existence of a non-material substance. If not, it's because our science continued with it's current method. In both cases, all science is capable of doing is explaining on a descriptive level how things work (with our imperfect approximations). However, It can't provide meaning.

So while science can definitely enrich our metaphysics, it can't touch on that ultimate question which many people consider to be of the greatest importance: is there a God? Science can never touch this question. It can only hover around down low within the created natural order and figure out how this world works.

All philosophied up and nowhere to go.

Truth: we're all gonna buy it, period. Everything dies.
I would put off the inevitable for as long as possible.

His message is very real though. That's what should be focused on, not his historicity.

It cannot be told in words - it is non conceptual reality.
