Right so I suspect a few ATS'ers may follow a certain Youtuber and 9 times out of 10 the guy talks absolute nonsense. But this is something that was just brought to his attention, and then to mine, and now to yours. maybe this has already been addressed on ATS, search function is.. well, you know.

Okay so there is half a Saudi Boeing 747 sitting at Wilmington air park. If you want to look up Google maps it is 'Wilmington Air Park, Ohio', and zoom right in to the (A) just to the south west you will see half a Saudi plane in a parked position, the rear end is gone. Several contents are organized on the tarmac, and parked right beside is a yellow plane. I've never seen a yellow plane, I've seen yellow drones..

Anyway, just wondering if this get's anyone else going? There is no crash reported, no Saudi plane came down in Ohio that I know of recently, certainly none on the disaster level of losing the read half. Anyone?

No reports, no links to speak of, sorry.

There is one with white tail and wings. So that's that part sorted.

Most Likely?

Stripping it down for parts and etc. Yellow plane (Plane parts are heavy obviously) shuttles it somewhere.
Fixing it so it can be operational. Yellow plane again, shuttles parts.
Renovating it.(Crazy Saudi Prince or what ever wants a luxury plane.) Yellow plane shuttles him and parts.

OR

*Insert 9/11 theory here*

It looks like the 747's engines may be missing, as well as the tail. I see the engine pylons, but no engines. I also see three roll-offs, two of them full of scrap, and two demolition machines.

Haha, no you're probably right there. Easy when you get a second opinion.

Someone close to me works there.
I can ask about it. I remember him talking about it before.
I 'think' he said it was the Prince of Dubai's plane, or maybe it wasn't
that specific plane in general.
He showed me a picture of it when they were working on it,
has more gold in it than anything else. Quite overly extravagant really.

But that company in Wilmington Air Park just does maintenance on
planes for different companies around the world.
They are called, Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, or
AMES for short.
If you have any questions let me know. I can find out, if it's something he can share

If you live in southern Ohio, you live fairly close to me.
I've been finding more and more people similarly aged and located to me on here. ATS is creeping in on me.

There are a lot of Ohioans on here actually.
I'm quite amazed! Did not think we had so many people in this state.

Looked at this on Google Earth. The engines are outside of the buildings to the southeast of the aircraft. The only thing I find odd is that if they're dismantling the aircraft, it seems that there would be more aircraft around in various stages of dismantling or renovation. There are not. Just the one. Must be one hell of a contract!

I'm actually an extremely northerly Kentuckian, but I travel to Cinci and Columbus quite a bit.

I should probably just have private messaged rather than going off topic and taking over the conversation like a drunk guy introducing himself at the bar.. sorry OP.

They usually have two or three in the hangers working on them.

Side note, did you know some of the Avengers movie was filmed on that site?

Yep, I'm in the Cleveland area which seems to be making inroads into Hollywood lately. Can't stand the traffic though when they start filming.

And currently, it seems as if half of the county roads up here are under renovation, though it is needed very badly, does it all have to happen at once?

Off topic as well, but still have to comment. (maybe some one should make a "Calling all Ohioians" thread?)

But during my time as a military brat and having a career in the military, there is always one saying I kept hearing over and over through the decades when somebody did/said something weird.

"He/She is from Ohio...there must be something in the water there."

Wait....Hanger 18(?) is at Wright-Pat ain't it?
