red silent light floating past me

last night 3 of us were standing on the street, when i noticed a red/orangish light hovering low, no noise and it was going at different angles across the view from my neighborhood. And about 5 days before i saw a bright acetiline like light appear in the sky then it started flying not falling like a meteor. This all happens right when its getting dark, im getting to know that dusk/dawn are the best veiwing times for strange events.

Might have been one of those small drones that consumers can buy I got a video on my phone of the same thing, video its all shakey as I was walking down the street when I filmed it to, I don't know how to Photoshop to stabilize the video nor do I know how to post videos with my phone. But the first couple of days after I filmed it , I was pretty pumped, till my mind settled on consumer drone.

Although I hate to say it as a believer, chinese lantern ?

I am only assuming you live in the US

However, Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center has, for a while now, been getting reports of anomalous "fireballs" passing thorough the skies, not saying that is what you seen but that is the first thing that came to my mind.

I disagree. A Chinese lantern would not behave that way. I do however think the drone may have been a possibility. OP if you have seen this twice now, I would keep a cell phone, or Digi cam with you while outside at night.

We saw one of these on December 24, I said it was Rudolph the reindeer. But I believe it was a Chinese lantern.

i wouldnt they stop showing up in my experience anyway but good luck if you do

I've never got to see a UFO I've never even seen a chinese lantern in person I have seen blurry orbs, but I think they were actually distortions from something with fast wings, like a hummingbird. The best I can do is to say these distortions may possibly have been fairies

weird very i noticed none in CT....funny I was fishing with my lil sis about a week ago at a pond back in the woods....it was getting dark and was fairly windy when across the pond we saw a red ball of light....as i freaked out it moved to the middle of the pond for a bit the made an exit by crossing over and disappearing behind the trees....it was slow and silent...didn't seem to be effected by the wind and was close enough to see that it was just a red light with nothing attached....kinda wigged out this is my 2nd time this year seeing one...strangley enough again with her

was it hard to focus your eyes on it, did it seem blurry or light streaked? Cause i was trying to focus my eyes on it and it was at first a glob of red light shifting slightly to orange sometimes. And just floated faster than the 0-3mph wind.

to answer you question....no.... it was really close, as i said before it was light-just light, it didn't seem to be anytype of vehicle or structure to it. I dont recall its shape changing it stayed round....i do recall freaking out to sis sitting next to me....a little bit if cursing and telling her to get me f*@k outta here... ..it was erie!
