ARG? Or something else?

A few weeks ago a group of people on a board came upon a weird site called 12-42.com. We tried navigating through the site thanks to the help of one guy. We came upon this weird forum. The forum had 2 threads with passwords. We spent some time trying to figure out what the passwords were, but to no avail. Perhaps we can try again?

Looks like a community forum attempt at creating a forum called 'The clothes store' perhaps for people that like talking about clothes, fashion etc. The fact it isn't used probably means it failed or isn't maintained. Doesn't look like anything for a conspiracy.

They are riddles and baffling text from people seeking for "the answer".

Its really odd 12-42.com...

12-42 is not soley for entertainment purposes. It is a tool, in the form of a meme, a mind virus, capable of self replication by infecting the minds of suitable hosts. Once there, as many of us know, it's impossible to shake out. We become part of the syncronet of 12-42, feeding it with coincidences, stoking it's fires with a plethora of shared experiences and general weirdness. The first stage of this memes actions is to allow us to be absorbed into it's reality tunnel, just like any other.

But then something different happens. You see, 12-42 is an emulator, and it's purpose is to teach us to be aware and wary of the mind altering powers of other, much older more powerful, and ultimatly more dangerous(to those whose seek to tear the veil of maya) memes. Among these, for example, are the memes of religions and political ideologys. But unlike these, the emulator 12-42 esoteric Orginization contains the seeds of it's own destruction. The closer you get to it, the more 12-42 hides in the shadows, and the more you begin to encounter cirtain other important threads. "Nothing is real". "There is no spoon". "Truth is fluid". "Reality is what you make it". Phrases we have heard a thousand ways before suddenly have meaning. We experience a momentary "illumination" a realization of ideals that could then lead us to the Path. If one truly wishes it, the Way can then become open. If one does nothing, the waking sleep will obscure the realization, and nothing more will be accomplished. Further exploration and deconstruction of 12-42 can again lead to the "illumination", and all attempts, whether succesful or not, to break beyond the boundry will only enhance the mystical reputation of this enigmatic number.

Looks like kids with too much time on their hands trying some attempt at being 'yoda' esque geeks, they maybe got banned from ATS and tried their own thang, perhaps it's Bernard. I wouldn't look into it much, it looks like hokum.

I think its best to forget about it. I think it will just be a merry-go round of smoke & Mirrors with no eventual outcome.

I think that if you think "the answer" will be found publicly on the internet on a half assed forum, well, you should just stay at ATS, at least we're fun.

and answer to what? How does one "stumble" upon that site? You don't, whomever showed it to you is part of the troll, and that's what it is, a troll.

I agree. Looks like a run of the mill forum setup with a handful of users... I could set one up in 5 mins and then post a mysterious link to it, and hopefully get myself a few new forum members.

Though there is some decent art on it.. I particularly like the woman in a priests outfit with a seethru blouse.

It's not only a forum. I suggest you look through the main site, 12-42.com. Last time we had a look through it, the site had many different connections with others. I wasn't really active before though.
