I read about halfway through the thread and I didn't see anyone mention what I'm going to say.
I have a trailcam that I use just to see what wildlife is roaming around on my property and I have captured images like this several times. What
causes it is condensation on the lens of the camera. Add light from a flashlight or even from the IR flash and you instantly have an ethereal glow.
I have seen it happen several times. You can even try it with a digital camera. Breathe on the lens and then snap a pic of a light and see what
happens. I think this is a person. Fairies are fun to imagine and I'd be tickled to death if that's what it really was, but I see a human.
Here is a vid of a fox from my trailcam. The lens was foggy when the fox triggered the camera and in the very beginning of the video, you can see a
glow around the fox that is similar to that of the image in the OP.
