it takes 28 years for the material to decay by half. I'd be pretty concerned, those particles are dispersed, end up in the ground and water and from there into food. 1962 had the most detonations, from there they slowly decreased each year right into the 90s. Every year adding more material.

All those "accidents" are horrible and plentiful that are in your link.
I can't imagine how many are kept secret and the affects to us all.
