One of my pet rats passed away today. It's sad to think of something so small could fight to live. I loved seeing her strength to live and how she appreciated my love and support for her. Buttercup was just an awesome little hell raiser. I'll miss her.

Thanks. I love animals. Currently we have a lot of different animals. The rats we have are sweet and social. Innocent little creatures.

Sorry to hear about your loss

I've always loved rats.
People have funny reactions to them,
but I think they are extremely cool animals

A toast to Buttercup!

*raises coffee cup*

Celebrate the good times!

Sorry for your loss.

I used to have a pet psycho rat. He was a mean little bugger, and I fed him to my snake.

But I still miss the crazy little critter.

Sorry for your loss..

I had a hooded rat named ,well, Mr. Hood...

I loved the guy and we would hang out on our picnic table on the back patio...

He was fascinating to just watch..

and he was very friendly with everyone..

I still miss that little guy....well, he was 14 inches long nose to tail...

So sorry for your loss.

Although I personally am not fond of rodents, we had a hamster. We called her Angrybird because she hissed a lot and aloud for no particular reasons. We could even hear her hissing in the living room while we were in the kitchen. She didn't live long. I think she burnt off by her own fire ( inside).

We buried her in our garden. Where did you bury Buttercup?

Goodbye Buttercup; Goodbye Angrybird. Praying you both had a peaceful journey..

Thanks everyone for the replies. I had these three for awhile. I don't know how long. But more than a year or two. Buttercup was a runt and something happened to her before she died. Like she had some weird stroke. We took care of her, but she lost the ability to move normally and walked like she drunk. They're very social with each other and are smart. But all they do is eat, sleep, and what not. These rats are actually afraid of running on the floor or going outside compared to the others I did own before them. They love the couches though.

I couldn't bury her, but we had a memorial service for her. Since she was big part to our family.
