The Great, The Wonderful, The Even Better

I know I can't be the only one who noticed a short spurt of really encouraging and positive threads today www.abovetopsecret.com..." target="_blank" class="postlink">www.abovetopsecret.com..., www.abovetopsecret.com... and I expect if I had a bit more time I could round up more. We spend so much time with our fears, our day to day worries, our paranoia, even absolutes which tend towards the negative and certainly not encouragement. This made me think: would other ATS members appreciate a forum dedicated to only the extraordinary good found in the day's news, events, or history? There are some web sites that are generally devoted to good news, but I have no doubt ATS could do even better. I have said many times how much I enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded and the extraordinary minds on this site so I would greatly look forward to spending part of my day seeing what our membership has uncovered to share. This could easily become a highlight of any day where I could close a tough evening on a good note.

I looked and didn't see anything in the forums that was quite like it, so would anyone else support the idea?

I see a lot of good news permeate the daily ATS threads. I try to contribute some from time-to-time.

I think the feel-good threads get ignored quite a bit though. This is a conspiracy site, not a cheerleading site. (Just saying, that's why they tend to get overlooked a lot of the time. In fact, it can be argued that the creation of Below Top Secret was for the positive, lighthearted threads you're talking about.)

I think a "good news" forum would be interesting, but unnecessary. Good news can appear in any of the appropriate, already existing forums. Don't be afraid to take your idea over to the Board & Business forum. You'll get some more input from mods that way.

I understand ATS to be a "conspiracy" site, but this is often the only site I can personally find time for on any given day and my proposal was to see if the people I have developed a great deal of respect for could have a singular location to place the positives they find instead of spreading them through multiple threads. I suppose there could be some question as to which forum would garner the most participation, but as my personal opinion again, I think such a good news forum would be welcomed.

It's OK if i am wrong, but I very much would like more opinions. Yours is valid, and it could be that most agree with you instead of myself. Curious to see.
