Yeah I saw this video yesterday and thought it was hilarious.
It seems Sony has decided to try and outplay Microsoft by going down the "lets not screw with the customers" road...
Where as Microsoft are like "lets do everything possible to make money whether it screws with the gaming experience or not"...

Haha, that's a great jab at Microsoft.
I have both the 360 and ps3, but 99% of the time, I buy games for the ps3. Sure, Xbox does have a few games only for the Xbox (well, actually only the Halo series and Gears of War....). Plus there's a new game "The Last of Us" that comes out in a few days and it's only for ps3, and Ive been waiting for it forever.
Sure, the ps3 is awesome and all.....but there's only one other system that rules them all....the PC!!!!

I wouldnt mind paying for multiplayer, i think the ps+ is a great service. Free games for both ps3/vita, beta testing on upcoming games and for multiplayer on a ps+ subscription, thats pretty nice i think.

It's only $5 a month and that's the same as the current 360 xbox live price....but that was a big difference for me between the 360 and ps3. Free internet on the ps3 was one of my favorites.
It just feels a bit off for me when I have to constantly pay for a game that I already payed $60 for. For example, when a new Call of Duty comes out for the ps4, the CoD games are primarily a multiplayer based game. x amount of money ($60 at current ps3 prices) for the game, then $5 a month on the ps4 to play it. (God knows how much a new ps4 or xbox one game will go for. I wouldn't be surprised if they're $80, instead of the $60 for new ps3/360 games....and I thought $50 a game was high back in 2004).
Bottom line is - I already pay a high price for the game. Why should I be required to continuously pay money just to play a multiplayer-dominated game, when I already dropped that large amount all at once?edit on 12-6-2013 by buni11687 because: (no reason given)
