The judge is badgering him now.......... WTF is that # about?
Commentator is saying what I have thought, he doesn't HAVE to make a decision until defense is finished.

Judge wanted to know if Zimemrman was going to testify.
The defense objected because the judge asked before the defense was finished.
Zimmerman said he didn't know if he needed to or not.

Really strange.

Are you some kind of official spokesperson for gun owners? Don't you think you should be all on the same page before you start singing from any hymn book?

I can't say honestly who the screams were for certain, but I'm not favouring the guy with the gun who waits until he is on the brink of consciousness before drawing it. Why would a guy with a gun scream for help from anyone else? Did he want someone to come and hold Trayvon still while he shot him?
. So now he is guilty for not fireing the gun straight away? lol

He seems to have shown more restraint that most police officers

As opposed to you insinuating that shooting someone is all our wet dreams come true or some such nonesense?

HAT TIP TO LIBERTYGAL ...

**** Side note associated with this trial but that will, undoubtedly, be taking on a life of it's own. Tracy Martin ... Trayvon Martins father, goes by the street nickname "FRUIT". Trayvon Martins texts talked guns with a "Fruit" ... and those texts were not allowed in.

I'm thinking this is something that deserves it's own separate thread as the information comes in.

I'm googling and it's coming up but it's coming up with lots of pictures with drugs and things that I don't think that ATS will allow so I'm not posting the links to these.

LIBERTYGAL ... this is your story ... go with it.

Quick question - is calling someone you don't know an asshole or effing punk in a calm, casual manner any less troublesome than it being said with anger in your voice?

Some people use cuss words in a casual manner as part of their language.
Just like other verbs and nouns. I say 'damn' in my conversations but that
doesn't mean I'm ticked off or full of 'spite or ill will'. It's just to bring attention
to a certain point I'm making.

All the more reason to believe he didn't act in any state of panic. He fired once because he knew once was enough.

He doesn't have to be insane with terror, rendered irrational to be self defense.

Does the judge have ties to the department of Justice?

Every responsible gun owner is a spokesman for all gun owners. As a gun owner a person should reflect what other gun owners think in public. Most people who are against gun owners do not truely know one. They may be aquainted but never do they take the time to really understand the gun culture or those in it. It is a shamefull thing that the media has done towards the gun culture and gun owners. just like Zimmerman, we are automatically portrayed as blood lust killers, just waiting for the chance to use our guns against another person. This couldn't be further from the truth. In all of the state's evidence, they could not find one thing that even remotely portrayed Zimmerman as some one just itching to kill a person. Believe me if they could have found one person who even heard hearsay about such an attitude then they would have used them as a witness. Gun owners do not want to kill, we just never want us or those around us to be deprived of life or limb by someone else's criminal actions.

Out of all the gun owners I know, the only one that have shown attitudes about hoping to never have to shoot someone is a cop. He is not wringing his hands, just waiting for his chance or anything, but he never expressed the same fear that the rest have about being forced to shoot someone.

Which one? Zeus, Poseidon, Hercules? Odin? Thor?

Who?

Hey all,

Just thought I would chime in here near the end. I believe the defense has offered enough of a case to dismiss the second degree murder charges.

The prosecution just has had not much to go on.

When does deliberation occur?

I would assume after today, unless he decides to take the stand.
