US Spy Leaker Edwar Snowden 'Disappears' in Hong Kong

Morning peeps...

It seems NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden has left his hotel in Hong Kong for parts unknown and his whereabouts are now unknown. Like he had said himself if they want to get him they can and they will. Apparently top ranking officials in Hong Kong have advised Edward that he should leave Hong Kong as it is definitely not a 'safe harbour' for him. Maybe he has taken the advice of officials and left to leave for another country in search of asylum. He could be on his way to Iceland. (I hope he is.) And at the moment we can only speculate..

Wherever Edward is. I hope he is safe and well...

An ex-CIA employee who leaked details of US top-secret phone and internet surveillance has disappeared from his hotel in Hong Kong.

Edward Snowden, 29, checked out from his hotel on Monday. His whereabouts are unknown, but he is believed to be still in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's broadcaster RTHK said Mr Snowden checked out of the Mira hotel on Monday.

Reuters news agency quoted hotel staff as saying that he had left at noon.

Ewen MacAskill, a Guardian journalist, told the BBC he believed Mr Snowden was still in Hong Kong.
