The Sound of Pots and Pans

Hi peeps..

This is a video from the people of Turkey. Using pots, pans, spoons and their voices they have created a lovely wee tune.. There are subtitles in the video. The clips of penguins towards the end of the video are a reference to the Turkish MSM not covering the protests and showing a penguin documentary instead..

The Turkish people care very much for their country and they want to bring an end to the suppressive regime and human rights abuses..

Very nice indeed.
I really admire all those people, actually doing something and fighting back against their oppressors. I hope the other citizens there just going about their usual business appreciate them the way they should.

It may have started in Chile but I love the new twist.
It's even better with words and a melody.
I found videos of people doing the same in Quebec as well as Occupy protesters using them.
Empty pots are a stark symbol of governments who don't care the the welfare of their people.

The Thread Title Reminded me of an old Bobby Bare song, Singing in the Kitchen.

It may bring back some good memories of days gone by. Or it may be Ancient History to the younger crowd.
