'I have a toothbrush in my stomach'
Kishanlal Bhatla�s eagerness for a clean tongue last week left him with a strange story to pass down the family tree.

On October 26, Bhatla (40) was vigorously cleaning his tongue with his toothbrush, when, before he knew it, he had swallowed the seven-inch brush.

He then spent the better part of the day with the toothbrush lodged in his stomach, until doctors could surgically remove it.

�I was brushing my tongue with the toothbrush and suddenly I swallowed it,� said Bhatla, a businessman and resident of Vashi.

When Bhatla�s various attempts at getting the toothbrush out were unsuccessful, he sheepishly told his wife Sunita (36) what had happened.

�I gave him some bananas to eat in the hope that it would get flushed out,� said Sunita. �Finally, when he started to panic, we visited the family doctor who told us to get an X-ray done,� she added.

apparently the guy was brushing his toungue rather hard and he swallowed the damn thing. That's just messed up.

LOL - I brush my tongue hard everyday, but I just don't see how you can swallow a 7inch toothbrush! They're hard! You think he'd gag a bit, maybe pull it out?
It's painful enough to accidentally swallow a nacho without chewing it enough, the pain of swallowing a toothbrush?

*shudders* I don't even want to imagine what swallowing a toothbrush must feel like but im guessing it's not pleasant.

The thing would've gotten completely dissolved in his stomach acids after like a day or two. It wouldn't have fit through the hole leading to his intestine, so the hydrochloric acid would have dissolved it. But he still would have to pass it after a while, just in liquid form
