I think you might have missed a big point there somewhere along the way. I'm not snitching on commie neighbors or anyone else for that matter. That's kinda the whole point.

Of the Governments who have identified themselves as Communist, an authoritarian approach has been Universal to my knowledge. If you know an exception, I'd love to hear it. The two highest for population in transition murdered 10's of millions in the process of bringing Communism about. That isn't subjective opinion but simple historic fact. Mao with his Cultural Revolution and little red book along side Stalin with their Communist turn for the Russian people. Some estimates range as high as a combined 60 million between them. That's not a place anyone ought to want to follow, regardless.

Now Communism is an extension of Socialism. By literal definition in the text books as well as real world practice. Not all Socialism is or leads to Communism. That's also true enough and some of the Northern European nations (among a handful of others) have shown it can work in a limited nation of generally like minded people.

I think -you- missed the point.

The Red Scare encouraged snitching on any communists that might be hiding in their neighborhoods. You have decided to argue about Communism when the conversation is about snitching on our neighbors for acting suspicious. The definition of suspicious is what is at play here. Great, you aren't snitching on your commie neighbors, but I'm not convinced that you wouldn't have in the twentieth century. You have demonstrated an illogical fear of communists based on what you consider to be historic fact taken without regard to the multifaceted nature of actuality, and that is your prerogative, and I'm not interested in arguing about your prejudices.

Flash forward to today's Red Scare and replace communists with Muslims.

Propaganda.

You make a habit of making debates personal, huh? I'm going to call it here for my part...the second time I have now, on a thread we've been on at the same time. Interesting on that...either way though. You feel how you do about communism and I feel how I do. I'd appreciate the respect for my opinion that I show yours. We disagree...but that's not a personal thing on my part. I am through debating with you though on this topic though. Good luck with it.

You made it personal when you discussed personally what you would or wouldn't do to your neighbor. I commented on your declaration based on previous interactions with you, not only that, but it was apropos the the topic.

You have an opinion, and I respect that you have an opinion, but your opinion is simply wrong. Logically incorrect. It is illogical to definitive judge a whole based on a sampling of your choosing. Please don't send me another angry u2u over this reply. Either reply in the thread or let it stand.

Isn't that a bit redundant?
They are one in the same.

Bingo!

There is no distinction between the two when the same terrorists in our government were at one time funding many of them covertly. They helped them grow and organize but don't want to take responsibility for it.

It is up to the public to report were they believe a crime is being committed, I would actually go as far to say that members of the public who suspect a crime is being committed or about to be committed have a civic responsibility to report it.

Crimes have been committed by the Banking Cartel and have been reported it, but nothing is being done about it.

I guess it only applies to the little people. No Thanks.

Yup, my neighbor is probably a terrorist. He's too quiet. Sometimes when I say hello, he just grunts. I'm thinking I should report him, for suspicious silence.

Oh, and he doesn't even have a Facebook page !

That's a clear giveaway. What is he trying to hide?

Why doesn't he want to tell us all about himself?
