Hi everybody, been a while since I posted, so it felt like I should take a stance for something today..

Original Article

You need to see this: Former Obama administration green jobs advisor Van Jones just came out swinging against Keystone XL. It's one of the strongest statements yet about what is at stake in this fight -- for the president, and for all of us.

Van doesn't just raise the stakes, he debunks the outright myths that are leading our nation down a road to disaster. But who he is matters just as much as what he says. Van is the first prominent former Obama official to take such a strong stand. A man who helped set environmental policy in the Obama White House is now making it clear that approving Keystone XL would be a horrific mistake. We should pay attention.

I won't classify myself as a Obama-basher per se, but the development of the Keystone Pipeline is simply an example of how the American bipartisanship blinds the public from the reality of the military industrial complex demanding ever dirtier energy to keep the wheels rolling... whether it be a democratic or republican government.

For the sake of the rest of the planet... please try what you can to stop your government's wasteful spending on obsolete energy sources to the benefit of the corporatocracy. It will not lead to an energy independent US but a country DEpendant on fossilized organic matter.. hardly a 21st century stance.

Sincerely yours from a polytopian future

If this video doesn't make you cry as a Canadian... go sit in front of your heater and enjoy your receipt of today's razzie..

Don't worry, while you developed nations enjoy the comforts of the second industrial revolution, to your horror you might find the third world surpassing you in the coming century.

I'm 100% against the Keystone extension...but how is it at all related to anything military?! It's a cheap stunt to leapfrog American markets...while using American soil to transship the oil to Gulf ports and export to offshore markets. I totally miss where anything military is getting the least benefit from it? Hell, the last I checked, our glorious President hasn't even replaced the supplies in the Strategic Oil Reserve that he looted to get himself better pump prices at a previous point in his admin.

Whatever Obama is? A friend or buddy to the U.S. Military is *NOT* one of them. Nothing I've seen him do since taking office has been geared toward benefit to them. It's plenty of 'More work to do with less to get it done with'...but if that's benefit, it's time to quit the Service.

My honor to host you at my humble thf-read wRabbi.. Maybe bluntly blaming the "military industrial complex" (MIC) was wrongly worded from my side.. but note that it is a "complex"... dedicated to the generation of profit. I would submit that the effects of the MIC stretches further than things military..

Destruction for profit.

How else would you keep yourself warm? How else would you rather commute (third world country or first world country)? What type of vehicle are you driving ? (if any) or are you using public transportation? The computer equipment that you're using contains several contaminants and it has come to your convenience after several toxins were released into the atmoshphere during its manufacturing process in some other country overseas. Criticizing is easy. Please provide/suggest/recommend solutions.

Lemmings............................

think about it....we cant seem to help ourselves....counter survival behaviors abound....

we are over populated, under resourced and still split into psychotically ruled ,competitive tribes.

The rush to the plunge does not seem to be stoppable.....IMHO

We are just doing what Mother nature intended.....here for a while....
Theres no reason at all that we ourselves arent part of the Great Dieoff thats occuring right now planet wide.

Well Obama may not be a friend towards the military but neither is he an enemy. He seems to have taken a hands off approach with a business as usual attitude.

He certainly has no qualms about using them and has allowed almost all of their policies, initiated under Clinton and Bush to continue.

Any type of military restructuring just is not on his agenda. He is letting it ride.

Yan Jones has ZERO credibility in this discussion. He is an avowed communist, driven from office for his past behavior and statements.

Van Jones, communist and founder of STORM, whose philosophy says: “All of STORMS members developed a basic understanding of and commitment to Revolutionary Marxist Policies with a particular emphases on the historical experiences of 3rd world communist movements.”

Are these the people we want "advising" policy?

Jones' resignation puts focus on criticism of Obama's 'czars'
He was an embarrassment to the Obama administration (what does it take to do that?), struggling for attention wherever and from whomever he can get it.

Look for a better source.

Mankind is intelligent enough not to commit genocide and what amounts to outright murder.
He has the mental capacity not to forsake his environment and the only home he has.
The only home to all the creatures of Earth. Sure seems like there is someone out
there lurking. Someone it seems to me is obviously trying to destroy everything God
has made. And he is using influence to do it. The manipulation via some psychotic
evil bent on destruction.

In the book of Revelations it is written.

God will destroy those, who would have destroyed the Earth.
Come swiftly.
