Hello from the UK

Hello there!

I'm a long-time lurker from the UK and have always enjoyed reading ATS.

Why am I joining now? I don't really know. All I can think is that with the recent tragic world events, Boston bombings, Aurora shootings and the awful attack here in the UK this week it just feels like something is brewing. Something is changing. A few people I know have said this in general conversation recently, and I've heard it said quite a lot on Coast to Coast AM too. If it really is happening ATS feels like the best site to talk about it.

I love open minds, I love alternative viewpoints and no matter how ridiculous some of the theories on ATS sound - I love that there is this amazing forum where those viewpoints can be aired and considered respectfully.

I'm fascinated by the whole aliens & UFO phenomenon and also cryptozoology. I long for the day evidence of Sasquatch or the yeti is found. I'm a regular reader of Fortean Times and love anything odd and strange. While I don't necessarily buy in to all the conspiracy theories - sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and all that - I do love hearing people's ideas and theories and looking at 'what could be' and definitely agree there's more to some world events then meets the eye!

I wish you good luck here. As much as there's really good people here, there's also many really close-minded people that will bash and troll whenever a new or unorthodox idea or opinion is expressed - personal experience.
However, the rewards of finally being heard compensate pretty much any bashing!!
