What I love about Obama is people seemed shocked that a politician from Chicago would be this shifty..

Still Bushes fault I see!
Can you give one example of how ANY of these situations are the fault of Bush?
All you can do is come up with one name???? When is your president and his administration going to accept ANY responsibility???? Or can America live out 16 years with Bush being responsible and Obama just having a good time on his vacations????
Hmmmmm, is it Bushes fault that Obama and his family spends millions on vacations too?edit on 15-5-2013 by seeker1963 because: (no reason given)
what fault? I'm not assigning fault....I'm saying maybe it has to do with "in country" human assets in Yemen, working with the CIA, to kill Al-Qaeda terrorists....maybe the AP reporters got ahold of those names, or other identifying elements, and Holder is trying to keep it from becoming public, so NOT TO GET THOSE ASSETS KILLED.....I know this is so hard for anyone here to believe, but, it just MIGHT BE for the right reasons.....using KISS and OCCUMS RAZOR methods of logic.

What is shocking IMO is that far too many people still to this day, after everything that has happened(that was pushed back until after the election) the adminstration can still do no wrong.
They love crooks, when they are their kind of crooks as in the 'Chicago way'.edit on 15-5-2013 by neo96 because: (no reason given)

Eric Holder just said that the AP investigation was to prevent the leak of one of the most important issues in the last 30 years. He said that it was a major threat to the citizens/US and had to be stopped. In the same breath he also says that he was not a part of it, and has no clue what went on or what it was.
"This was a very serious leak and a very, very serious leak," Holder said. "I've been a prosecutor since 1976 and I have to say that this is among, if not the most serious, it is within the top two or three most serious leaks I've ever seen. It put the American people at risk. That's not hyperbole. It put the American people at risk."

I'd like to know what the ATS community thinks was leaked. Maybe I missed the threads devoted to "What Was Leaked And Why Is It The Biggest Leak In Thirty Years?" What do you think it's all about.
I see all the talk about Holder and Obama but I must have missed the threads asking what the deuce was leaked in the first place. What could be so big?

well, when we are faced with EVERYTHING THAT OBAMA IS, AND DOES, IS WRONG....how can it be shocking!!!!... when someone actually defends him....the right-wing was coming out after his first 100 days in office and SAID PUBLICLY he has failed......gee.....no problem there right???....... I personally think he has done things that were wrong......and using "Chicago way" as some type of metaphor for black gangster crooks is somehow sanity based?.......you immediately lose credibility.

My question to you is, "How do you know this information, when our own AG refuses to comment on it?"!!!!!
It's okay to stick up for your team, but when they are pretty much proven to be caught with their hand in the cookie jar, how does it make YOU look defending them?
Listen Jimmyx, I don't hate you for what you believe in, but I would at least expect some honesty from you when "what" you believe in has been proven to be involved in possible criminal activities........
I remember a defense briefing saying operations were being conducted within or around Yemen, then I put 2+2 together after researching that the US has deployed "assets" (what, I do not know) to help the government of Yemen......connecting dots in each of our forays in other hot spots of the middle east, there is intel gathering, spec. ops., drone fly-overs...and...AP has a sizable middle east presence....it's not hard to assume that AP got a hold of some reports on US operations there....and with that....this present administration does not want to have any "assets" domestic or foreign killed because of some AP leak.

A would-be suicide attacker in a foiled "underwear bomb" plot was an undercover agent, US officials say.
The person dispatched by Yemen-based al-Qaeda to attack a US-bound plane had been recruited to infiltrate the group by Saudi Arabia.
In an apparent intelligence coup, the agent left Yemen with the device and delivered it to the CIA.

DOJ/FBI pulled the phone records from the telecom providers of the AP reporters that broke the story in hopes of finding the leak at the CIA.

Calm down dude!
Regardless of what political party ANYONE believes in, can we all not agree on one thing? "If America falls because of people who believed in politicians to solve our problems, ARE WE NOT ALL SCREWED?"!!!!
I respect your passion, but your blindness to what is happening to our whole country is what I have an issue with.....

i'm not blind, nor naïve...but I do other research and analyze each side, and also the grey areas, with the provided information I can obtain....and a lot of what happens overseas in hotspots will never be divulged publicly, nor should it be, because people get killed for it....... we have problems with the banking system, government work on getting good paying jobs for us, concerns over taxation, both individual and corporate, why our government is not telling us about the TEPCO nuclear disaster and the effects it has on the US?, where is the testing for seafood safety in the gulf of Mexico, how about our own nuclear storage plant safety around the country, are citizens a blowout away from disaster? how about Medicare fraud? etc..... there is a lot of crap going on that i'm worried about, and think should be investigated.

OH REALLY?????
Then why did Holder say at the hearing today that it was a leak at the DOJ???? Yet the DOJ illegally tapped the phones at the AP????
Yea, I watched it! Did you?
Holder testified that he has faith in the individuals conducting the broad Associated Press investigation, driven in large part by GOP outrage last year over the possibility that administration officials leaked information to enhance President Barack Obama's national security reputation in an election year.
...
Last year, Holder appointed two U.S. attorneys to lead a Justice inquiry into who leaked information about U.S. involvement in cyber-attacks on Iran and an al-Qaida plot to place an explosive device aboard a U.S.-bound flight.
In testimony in February, CIA Director John Brennan noted that the FBI had questioned him about whether he was AP’s source, which he denied. He called the release of the information to the media about the terror plot an “unauthorized and dangerous disclosure of classified information.”

Are you posting under the influence? I am guilty of it so it isn't a slam against you Jimmyx, but your posts are usually a lot easier to read.........
From what I could decipher of what you posted, I am assuming that you have pretty much the same fears as most of us whom are trying to make sense of our political system.....Am I right or wrong?
So why defend it? Why not base your beliefs on our Constitution and come hell or high water, regardless of what political party is involved..............why not defend the Constitution instead of two documented, corrupt political parties???
why defend it?... because there are portions of government that works, and works well...if you have been in the saddle of life long enough, you know all it takes is a few bad apples to destroy, the majority of good deeds getting done. do I trust my government fully? of course not, with the hundreds of billions of dollars being spent each year, it's a lock that there is going to be corruption...and conspiracies?.....there's Watergate, Iran-contra, gulf of Tonkin, proven conspiracies from the highest levels of government...not to mention the dubious actions of 9/11, and the Kennedy assassination.
there are deep divides between parties right now, and I remember in recent history when both sides came together and got things done.....so what has changed?....can YOU honestly say with all the vitriol and hyperbolic language coming out of Washington, that it has NOTHING to do with having America's first black president?
