Can you actually explain the process instead of describing it as though we already have some idea what we're looking at? It might just be me, but I'm lost. Also want to mention that the more specific you get with art, the more you lose the overall flow and meaning. You make it far too easy to miss the forest for the trees.

...I had no idea how useful that phrase would become.

ETA: I miss Escher. No interpretation necessary, just hours of reflection. Such an amusing exercise, his art.

Thank you. I'm a fan of Escher's, I'd be mortified to discover that some aren't familiar with his work. They've missed a real treat!

I can't do oils, I lack the patience for it to dry!
