The site has been dug on for the past 70 years.

If it means so much, then why did not any of the
tourist money get diverted to at the minimum,
mark the spot off?

those are the facts.
Everyone is putting their mouth
where there money should be.

look at a satellite view of the location and you
will see the active ongoing efforts the Belizean
government has been enacting to preserve this
site. Some of the construction goes back seventy
years.

Slugger, I applaud your passion for this remote pile of stone being destroyed, man made or not. I am glad you care that the Earth/possible human history is being destroyed and want to stop it.

At the same time I recommend you become a local activist. I'm sure wherever you live now has countless sites that have been destroyed or are in the process of destruction to build roads, shopping centers, and whatever other construction works in the name of "progress".

This goes on every day around the world, especially parts of the "1st world" where those sophisticated men destroy Earth and its resources for money and civilization.
