Be ready with your binoculars, telescopes and cameras as this conjunction, while already visible, will be at its best during the sunset at the end of
this month.
It involves Jupiter, Venus and Mercury that will be more or less 2° apart from each other. The three will change positions relative to each other
daily as if someone is throwing dice.
Look west starting at 8:40pm MDT. Mercury is the dimmest of the three and most difficult to see. Using binoculars will help to find Mercury, but
make sure the Sun has set.
This triple conjunction (within 2 degrees), has occurred only five times in the last century, the most recent being on the 11th of May, 2011. We have
to wait another 45 years to see this wonder again, when they come together at 27th of February, 2058.
