Looks like Iran took a sizable one and near populated areas, as their quakes go. Hopefully, no serious injuries or major damage. I haven't seen anything on that yet...They are showing 5 range aftershocks in some number still coming.

This is an additional USGS page on the quake. It's a page I haven't noticed them showing before? Perhaps others are familiar with it, but it's a new one on me. Hmmm.. Something to see about incorporating into the quake display on my site. Nice Info here for scale and meaning.

Doesn't really deserve a thread ,but what the hell.

I post these, occasionally, because it helps people who live in the area. (We have Iranian members...national citizens of the Republic of Iran, and more with family there) I also tend to share them for the same reason you'll find this forum has any number of them, on similar size quakes. It's useful to see patterns and overall activity.

* In a separate note to the quake itself, I'd also hope the second post I made has a useful link? I really hadn't seen that page. Anyone know if USGS has had that for awhile or is the Pager display somewhat new? It's a bit different to see not just cities and distances, but specific projections of damage/felt effect for each, individually?

Yeah, this does seem to have rung the local bells over there. Iran is certainly active for geology, eh?

I found it interesting that it was also felt well enough in Oman to generate some reports from there as well.

It's the Earthquake machine! First they did Japan in and now they are HARRPing the crap out of Iran... Watch out, North Korea is next!


Speaking of Ben Fulford... When's the last time we heard from him? It's been awhile, his case of HAARPies must be really getting him down lately... Hasn't had a decent story in the paranoia-sphere since Japan...
