Where is the logic?
The annual conversion to free chlorine as the primary disinfectant in the drinking water treatment process is underway and will continue through June 2013. The water PWCSA provides its customers is treated by Fairfax Water and the City of Manassas, and both use chloramines in their water treatment processes during most of the year. Using chloramines is a better long-term option because they remain in the water distribution system longer and produce lower levels of disinfection by-products. Free chlorine is a more aggressive disinfectant, and this temporary change in the water treatment process helps prevent bacteria from becoming overly resistant.

Two days ago, my water started tasting different. I used to use a brita filter and get at least decent tasting water. now, brita or not, the water tastes like it's almost entirely fluoride. Remember swishing fluoride as a kid? Well, I get this same chemical "stinging" (but it doesn't really sting...) after drinking a glass of water. It tastes like it has been strongly spiked with sodium fluoride.
Has anyone noticed weird changes in your water supply? I've also developed a lot of red bumps on my chest in the past week after showering.
