Almost always the Fire Hose page is extremely slow to open for me. Yesterday, I went away from the computer while it was supposedly trying to open
and came back an hour later and it was still trying to open with the circles spinning, etc.
I can understand that with savvy users that it is the place to go when you log on, but why isn't that backed up with sufficient servers, etc.?
I've found that when it doesn't open fairly quickly that if I then do some arrow work of shifting pages that it seems to come up more quickly than
if I merely wait. What is going on?
Basically, I'm asking what can I do to not have this tedious wait and dread every time I want to back out of a thread and return to the Fire Hose
page. It is more than annoying. If this problem happened elsewhere, I would be long gone to an alternative site. But ATS is ATS, a one-of-the-kind
place.
(I don't believe this is my personal computer's problem. This is the second machine on which I've noticed this problem and it is not puny. This
is an on-going problem that has existed now for years. Please don't recommend using the Home page. That is virtually useless for recent news and
topic spread.)
