With amnesty comes millions more illegals just waiting for the next amnesty. Many have no intention of ever becoming legal. They save money here and return better off in their own country later.

We don't need amnesty of any kind, we need enforcement of our laws.

Two thoughts...such as they are...and two answers. First, there is an easy solution. If you broke the laws of America to enter America you should be forced to leave America. How is that for a "good solution"? Why...well...they broke the law. Your statement implies that someone who steals should be able to keep the goods after getting caught. People are not supposed to benefit from breaking the law. They are supposed to "pay" restitution for their crime. So...a "good solution" is that they don't benefit from their crime and they pay restitution by being sent home. And THAT is not only viable, but the nice side of what could be done.

Second, allowing amnesty (such a nice sounding word until you read my first paragraph) only invites others to break the law. Using stealing again as an example...if you tell everyone that has stolen from another that not only are they not going to be punished, but they can keep what they stole...what do you think others will do? Do you think they will say, "well...I guess they may be serious now"? Or do you think they just might decide to steal?

Man...the mentality of Americans has really fallen.

Congress won't do anything and WE voted for them. So what are we gonna do? NFL draft is tonight...

And...I'll say it again and say it a million times if I have to. The ONLY reason Liberals support amnesty is because they KNOW it will get them votes. That is the only reason. Not the lies they tell...they don't give a crap about anyone. But they sure love those votes.

There was to be a 'virtual fence' project...but El Paso Congressman Sylvester 'Fifty Cent' Reyes got a close family member promoted from clerk to project manager. Then some how something on the order of $23 million dollars went missing. $23 million ws the last figure I heard, may be far more by now...

Are you kidding me I know more white people that are getting assistance from the government because they are too lazy to work for what the consider to be not enough money...don't feed into the hysteria...more people working means a better social security system regardless of their color...

Illegals work under the table. This is common knowledge for most folks.

If they work under the table it means the employer can pay him/her BELOW minimum wage, thus the employer has no incentive to hire legals and pay them mw plus their ss, unemployment, disability benefits. All these state and federal programs go bankrupt.

This is the biggest reason why encouraging illegals is a bad idea. Amnesty should only apply for special conditions such as war refugees, escaping illegal prosecution from home, etc.

And overall they also flood the supply side of the blue-collar job market, thus making it very difficult for everyone to get a job.

Thousands upon thousands of High School young adults graduate every year in the US and try to get jobs. There aren't any because people believe we are obligated to give those jobs to illegals. You say that Americans are lazy. The same can be said about the illegals, they must be lazy because they want to flee instead of fixing their countries problems. A shipwreck lifeboat can take only so many people till it too sinks.
