Al Qaeda is the current boogie man that can be used to increase spending on security measures and equipment as well. I don't think Al Qaeda exists. Yes there are numerous Islamist organizations carrying out military operations many of which can legitimately be called terrorism.

I don't think there is an umbrella organization as such.

Al Qaeda in the press has taken on the dimensions "Dr. Fu Manchu" used to have as an emblem of the "yellow peril", back early in the 20th century.

www.imdb.com...

I think it is a fiction concocted by people with financial goals in mind. Is it starting perhaps to become a self fulfilling prophecy? It certainly gets a lot of publicity.

Left Lib Hollywood or maybe Bollywood should come up with an Islamic version of "Charlie Chan" to combat the propaganda.

When is the media gonna announce jewish terrorist plots in america and canada?

Yeah the arabs create all the problems, I guess cause NATO bombs them into oblivion all the time or has the gall to openly fund and train proxy armies(namely muslim brotherhood). USA has been going bankrupt for a decade, yet we fund outsiders and still want an enormous MIC that needs war just to sustain itself.

Terror here and terror there. Give me a break!

(thanks for the thread)

I agree, too convenient.

If you ask me, it's purpose served the passing of Bill S-7 (the combating terrorism act). This bill is essentially a Canadian Patriot Act. I don't like what Harper is doing. Here's a link to an article detailing some of the bill;

I made threads on Harper's Bills, at least one got deleted. One pointed out that marijuana growers do more jail time than child rapists. That thread was erased quickly.
