Yet, we must, we must carry on!

I did not know where to post this!
I had written this down some time ago... I feel like sharing here...so here goes:

"So far have we come,
Destination unknown,
Purpose unknown,
Yet we must carry on.

The value of life, love ... Lost.
The value of freedom, brotherhood ... Lost.
Yet we must, we must carry on.

Groping in the dark,
Stumbling upon the rocks.
Facing hardships and betrayal,
We must carry on.

The killings and the rage,
The hate and the venom.
The fire in our souls,
Yet we must carry on.

Spiritless entities,
Mindless actions,
Cruel intentions,
Yet we must, we must carry on.

In the name of science,
In the name of religion,
In the name of everything - degradation, perversion, utter distruction,
Still, we must carry on.

Why should I bother,
It dosent affect me,
I cannot change it,
And yet, and yet, we must carry on.

Dreams no more,
Nightmares in reality,
Chaos, confusion, apathy,
Yet we must, we must carry on.

We must carry on...we must carry on. Yes we must carry on!
Humanity still stands a chance, as long as you and I, can carry on...!"

Thank you for your reply. I am happy that you liked my poem. I keep writing on and off. This one was penned with the view of what we are all going through - today.

I believe that 'change' will come, it will come soon because of the will of every one...it will come because we shall all be united towards positive change. Breaking away from the chains that hold us down, made possible only by our united and undivided will for a positive change...Through you, through me, through all of us. One Day.
