I think Bush has won this election, which is very scary in my oppinion, but my question is this...

Kerry has conceded... what exactly does that entail? I know that that means he has given Bush the election win, but what if the recounts in florida and the so called "petitioned votes, that are counted in 11 days" would show Kerry as winning Ohio?

What does the conceded election mean then? can Kerry still claim the presidency if this is the case, or has he forgone those rights?

What about voting problems in Florida? what if it shows there as fraud there and Bush didn't win Florida, what happens? I would imagine what woudl happen before a concession, but not after?

any thoughts?

also why did Edwards state he was going to fight untill the end, and give up so easy? If they trully believe there was fraud/intimidation/etc, I wouldn't give it up yet?

But again, i don't think anything will come of this, the media is allready onto the next issue, and after I have heard that the heat will come off Hallliburton, I don't know what to think anymore

wow, noone has any input on this issue?

I guess its more a legal issue and not too probable, but an intersting scenario nonetheless

Very persistant you are, very persistant.

Anyway, Kerry conceding was for a few reasons.

Unless there was a really REALLY close election like in 2000 it is not in the best intrests of the democratic party. They pretty much didnt have it from the looks and they decided to not contest.

The striking divide in the country needed an easy election. If this was in legal battles like in the 2000 it would create even bigger divides in this country and we all know that is just not good for America right now.

America needs unity and Kerry showed that in his speech this afternoon. I applaud him for knowing what IS best for this country.
