Gun registration itself is only a form of tax. Every firearm is logged to the ATF with the serial number, make, model, caliber, type of firearm, with the persons current address, height, weight, etc etc etc (all information on their 4473 form) that was sold anytime you purchase from a dealer; and in a sense "registered" .

If they find a weapon at a crime scene... then trust me there is a paper trail with existing laws.

Yes that is true to an extent but I think they were trying to track down the guns resold in the aftermarket. Someone buys 50 guns as a supposed collector and then sells 40 of them in the streets of detroit to his black friends.

Also it is important to seperate government(the institution) from the beauracrats(elected or permanent) that run/maganage the government. Today we have a democrat administration and tomorrow we might have a republican or libertarian administration.

Bill Clinton: anti 2nd amendment president: had approx. 11 mass shootings during his 8 years.

George Bush: pro 2nd amendment: had approx. 4 mass shootings in 8 years.

Obama: the most anti constitutional president in American history: approx. 9 mass shootings in 4 years!??

this doesnt make sense!

after all this president allowed "Fast and furious" to allow the smuggling of guns into mexico with the express purpose of destroying the 2nd amendment!!

AND to make it all work..............the DOJ said it requires a U.S. Federal List of all

Thats why many democrats do NOT support Obama's new gun laws. Because they recognise people like feinstein are not out to protect america, rather they are out to disarm and screw america. If the plan was half-way sensible lots more would jump on the bandwagon.

The real issue is dishonesty by those sworn to uphold the constitution. Everything about these new laws is wrong, plain and simple. From the false flag operations, to mischaracterising what assualt weapons are, to the hoarding of ammunition from government agencies(which fema is the secret government).

I tend to be an idealist, a theoritician, etc and sometimes this makes me look naive. So be it, I just don't like black and white arguments which I have seen the last 4 months. I don't fear the government because there good and bad people within it, what I fear are agenda driven democrats and republicans. Tomorrow the economy might totally collapse, reptillian demons may come out of their caves, a nuclear war might be started with russia/china, or perhaps race riots. People need to be able to protect themselves with reasonable hardware and training.

But there also needs to be a line drawn in the sand from those trustworthy enough to accomplish this otherwise we might as well have a very limited military and a very limited police force to help balance the budget and bring our debt down to reasonable levels. It might look like somalia, afghanistan, iraq with dozens of warlords fighting each other and the government.
