I think he is talking about the fact that it says chicago Patriots when the Patriots are new englands team.

I think it is a typo and whoever edited it at the paper meant to put the Bears logo.

This is very corny, but I guess the sentiment is nice. By the way, for those that don't know, the New England Revolution is a soccer team... so there's no hidden message there for those who look for such things.

Why are you opening a separate thread? There is thousands awesome things this day . You can put this in general big thread about Boston bombings.

They do the great deed of donating part of the front page of their sports section to bit of word play to show support for another city?

Here's an idea.
In that space, put this instead:

We are donating the money that we would receive if this space had been sold to advertisers to pay for the funeral expenses of those killed in the Boston bombing.

This is an awesome gesture any one who enjoys sports would tell you so. Especially since chicago is also one of the biggest sports markets in the country along with boston. Being from boston, i say thank you chicago.
