I'll believe it when I see it. After hearing Edwards be so adament about making sure all votes are counted and wanting to fight for every last vote I am really afraid that word of Kerry conceding is too good to be true.

Not a suprise, since something like 95% of uncounted Ohio ballots would have had to go to him in roder for a win, and that's statistically impossible.

Yep its officially over now. Congrats to Kerry on his campaign which IMO couldve been run ALOT better. Kerry in general I have nothing against, some of his issues were intriguing and I think the real loser of this situation is Edwards, what exactly does he do now? Before this he had a bright political future and still may, but this is a definate blow to him.

I don't think he will concede the election just yet. It may be a real longshot, but he has not lost the election yet.

Sure it is, and Kerry is doing nothing new or out of the extra-ordinary here.
Simply put, you lose, you concede. This has been in practice for a great many, many years.

I meant that Kerry was a class act for not pursuing this through legal action. He saw that Bush had over a 50% majority and even with the provisional ballots that he would still lose in Ohio.

It says alot to put the needs of the country ahead of your own.
