How do we know ANY of these sources regarding North Korea are even accurate?

Do we assume it is, because they come from RT instead of FOX news? Because all MSM = Bull#.

So where do we draw the line, how can we confirm *anything* supposedly reported from North Korea to be true at all?

You're heading down a deconstructionist's path? No, one can't "confirm" anything, unless you travel to NK your self and get unprecedented access to the government. Not likely to happen. And even then, that would be your interpretation. Best thing a person can do is vary their sources, have meaningful discussions, and take any story with a grain of salt. You're right, journalism has become untrustworthy, but I see nothing else we can do.

A deconstructionists path? Call it whatever you want comrade.

Question everything.

I agree with you, question everything. It's just that a discussion can't be all questions.

They can't allow NK to have nukes - it should be pretty obvious why.

So NK is barking up the wrong tree. They need to concentrate on the reasons there are crippling sanctions in place, rather than try to bully folks into giving them nukes. Will never happen.

It has happened.

They've been a "Nuclear Power" for years and no one is stopping them, besides UN sanctions..

You interpreted it wrong. They arent ready for talks. They are basically saying "Sure we will cooperate, on our terms, not yours.".

Exactly. They already know the terms of the world....and the world (including their buddies) does not want NK to be a nuclear state. Disarmament is the ONLY think NK can bring to the bargaining table...so if they aren't willing to bring it...then this is really NO willingness at all.

Being a nuclear state, and being ACCEPTED as a nuclear state, are two different things. If he isn't going to disarm, then what else can he bring to the table? What is he going to bargain WITH?
