Scary, but a small group of individuals can seize any nation including us with just drones. There are bases where drones can land and refuel without a single persons help. Completely automated army and workforce. Now in order to stop global decay you need to wipe out 2/3 of humanity. The 1/3 of people left will be serviced by robots. This will happen just dont know when.

Balderdash! For the same reason you can't capture territory with air power.

There is no substitute for boots on the ground. Boots 'n chutes. Or as we say in the Appalachians, bootses.

All the stuff is built by humans, the drones are flown by humans, the fuel is trucked in by humans, the stuff needs to be maintained and serviced by humans.

Maybe one day, not quite yet. Give it another 10-15 years. Even then, autonomous maintenance and repairs is going to be a huge hurdle.

the thing is that drones can keep miles of area under watch. you can hide but once your out in the open your toast. drones are meant to corral the enemy. they can keep you bottled up in one place.

Up until we have anti-drone drone seeking missiles. Then it's on.

I'm assuming that all of the robots will be EMP proof, Acid proof, Hack proof, Mine proof, Anti-air proof, etc.
