It occurs to me on that we are being programmed to seek violence on a massive scale. This nation is erupting with violence, and shootings, and so on. Why? Because of the fact that we are being fed a constant stream of violence, murder, and so on. People see the next shooter on TV, and in the mind of some sick person, that triggers a desire to be on TV, and so they start hunting the most dangerous game: Man.

Did the powers that be mean for this to happen all along? Sometimes, I wonder. The massive conglomerate that rules this planet would see the sprees as very small, percentage wise when you compare it to the overall populace. But the media coverage just goes on, and on. And all the while, they're hawking the solution to outbursts of violence: Buy a gun.

So, they wear your sanity down, try to make you paranoid, and convince you to buy a gun. And when you're worn down, paranoid, and with a gun, what do you do? Shoot someone. And it all leads back to the prison industrial complex.

So you're sitting in prison, thinking, "Damn, I thought I was gonna be Dirty Harry", while John Q. Illuminati is checking your cell for shivs and so on. Or you've been shot by the police. Doesn't matter either way, you're still a statistic, purposefully manufactured by the machinery of society to be incarcerated.

That is a nice tight piece of writing, thanks.

No, we are doing it to ourselves because we are terrified, have tried everything we know and hate ourselves.

Mircea Eliade suggested that man has always been able to escape the terror of linear history by escaping in to our mythologies.

Mankind was already feeling deeply separated from his/her mythologies when 2012 came and went and now it just seems that all that is left to do is tear ourselves to shreds.

Pretty bleak.

And what, pray-tell, do you mean by mythologies? One man's mythology is another's system of beliefs. One man's fictional Lovecraft story is another's bible. But I digress.The subject has little to do with the cause of the rash of violent outbursts, murders, and killing sprees these days... Though I suppose one could rationalise it as angry deities demanding sacrifice if they were absolutely stark raving mad. Perhaps it is just human nature.

lol we live in a society that admires the man who devised the atom bomb and he is thought of as an intellectual super hero.= Einstein

But the man tried to give the world free energy died alone with no fame and until recently has remained relatively obscure.= Tesla

Ps I know Tesla tried to sell a death ray but he also tried to sell JP Morgan into funding free energy without Morgan knowing it lol

Martian Luther King = murdered
JFK = murdered
Gandhi =murdered

this is the world we live in and its back arsewards

Violence is not new to humans. The Romans were well known for their love of violence. They built a HUGE coliseum on top of Nero's old house so that they could have huge displays of violence to entertain the people.

Bread and circus Its the Roman way

That's certainly part of the problem, our emulation of roman culture. We're gonna keep on emulating them right up to the part where Rome falls and crumbles if the people don't get wise. Unfortunately, I don't think they will.

You know what story made me think of this thread?

That school shooting that was averted, by that school staffer, who just talked him down.

We need more people like that. A man who was so committed to violence, yet she simply talked him down. I'd like to meet her. Such a nice seeming woman.
